“So here’s the deal dear sister, I’ll save you from all the strains of social graces and you’ll be reigning the whole house for a week! How’s that sound?”
I gave out a sarcastic smile. My sister can really be persistent.
“Cmon!” she clasped her hands while pouting and pulling the puppy eyes on me.
“For the billionth time dear sister..." I stressed it out deeply, "NO. I. WONT. BE. DOING. THAT. AGAIN.”
“Pleeeeasse?!”
I sighed as I turned around. I’m getting tired of her repeated request that I’ll never, ever, ever be granting.
She started to go into another of her wild tantrums and I watched her the usual.
“You’ll be a fail there! I swear! You always do!” She rambled-out before exiting and slamming my room’s door shut. Great. She’d be firing me the cold treatment again.
I get that all the time so I just shook my head. I rose from my bed and headed to the mirror. I squinted as I stared at my face in the mirror, wondering what could she be thinking?
I mean, most people say that we perfectly look like each other but I dont see that we do. Yes, maybe a bit, because we’re identical twins as what our birth doctor told our parents and our parents told us themselves, but that was a long time ago before my sister started becoming too pretty and perfect. Everytime I look at her now, I just couldn't see how we resemble. She really has this slender and y body, fair white skin and radiant look. She changes hairstyles and haircolors every time. She dresses gorgeously, she talks confidently, and she’s just very desirable.
How can her plan possibly work?
On second thought, I better pop all this stuff from my head because there is definitely no room for me to reconsider due to the fact that I screw up all the time. Na-ah, I won’t do it. Period.
I tugged my hair for a tight bun and readied my books and notebooks cos my teacher won’t be coming a little later.
I’m homeschooled and it’s not so bad either. Yeah, I’m homeschooled since I was 8 because I have a weak body to explain it shortly. I easily get tired back then, and I’m a social-wreck. My dad tells me that I’m just shy, and that I’m a late bloomer and it is a normal thing—but I don’t think he’s right.
As I headed out of my precious room, I spotted my perfect twin sister coming out of hers too, which was adjacent to mine. I smiled meekly, admiring her from the face down. She really looks lovely in her school uniform.
When she saw me, she instantly fired me a grudging glare. I can tell she super hates me right now.
“Good Morning Jaera. Good Morning Jaemi." Here came my teacher with her accented voice.
My twin sister, Jaera, as if clicked by an automatic button, switched her facial expression to a charming one.
“Oh, Good morning Teacher Park,” She greeted, flashing my tutor a warm smile.
“Late for school again, aren’t we?” Teacher Park asked.
Jaera simply responded a bashful smile before bowing low and bidding goodbye. She didn't spare me a look and left. I guess she’ll truly carry on with the hateful treatment. How great.
Anyways, homeschooling is fun. I learn a lot from Teacher Park and we get along fairly well too. She tutors me for 4-5 hours on weekdays and she’s the only person I literally know from the outside. I mean, I really don’t have peers and all that because I’m a t
