The Exigency of Heart-to-Heart Talk Between Two Women
Romantic Street: A Detour To DestinyTiffany POV
*Still-at-shining-star-karaoke-bar*
I wish it will always be like this - all four of them are happily hanging out, partying like crazy people. Like the way they’ve always been.
I remember how happy and literally gay these guys were way back then. Yoong, Taeyeon, and Sooyoung always gang up on Yuri. They hug and kiss him whenever they want. Yuri will then just surrenders and rides along with their weird doings. I guess that’s the reason why most of Yuri fan girls spammed me too many text messages before when we broke up. They all sent me celebratory messages about ships will finally sail, something like that. I don’t get what they mean though. I later found out it’s that pairing thing. Alright, never mind that, the bottom line is I miss them being normal. *Sigh* Still, I cannot believe I almost destroyed a friendship that is as precious as this.
“Don’t blame yourself, Fany-ah. It’s not your fault.” Jessica snapped me out of my thoughts.
“How on Earth did you learn how to read minds? Did you become a vampire or something and got that special skill?”
“Oh come on. It doesn’t mean when I embraced the darkness I will become a vampire. It’s just so obvious on your face you’re blaming yourself.”
“Am I really that obvious?”
“Hmmmm- maybe not really, I just know you so well I think.”
“Well... You can’t make me stop on thinking this way, Jessie. I am really the one to blame. See? You even got mad at me before.”
“Hey, I already said sorry, okay. I just told you those to resist myself from hurting you. If we continued to hang out that time, I might tell you even more hurtful things.”
“Nah... It’s all okay. I understand, even I will get mad at myself if I’m on your shoes. But that doesn’t matter anymore because now we’re back as friends, right bestie?”
“Yeah. You’re right. But I say I really am sorry.” We then embraced each other tight.
“Bestie, you still owe me an explanation. How did you two finally got together?
“Do you want a detailed version or just the summary?”
“Hmmm- detailed?”
“Alright... You see, last week, Yuri was grieving by himself again on our sulking spot. That place is just around the school grounds but it’s not easy to find when you’re too happy with your life right now. Maybe when you’re so down that you wanted to die you will see that spot. That’s sort of the password to get there.”
“Isn’t that too detailed? You’re already telling me so many things when it’s only about the place of event.”
“Hey you chose the detailed version, hellooooo? Do you want me to continue or what?”
“Okay! Continue please.”
“So, Yuri was grieving that time. It was the same time for my sulking schedule. You see, I always sulk there at 3PM because I lost my bestfriend and turned down a very nice guy. Yuri then told me about your offer to get back together that time and how he turned you down. He said he was the most stupid man ever existed. He told me too he got no chance on you anymore because he already hurt you so much. So then he thought he doesn’t deserve you anymore. Then, I told him he’s a coward.”
“You know... I really don’t see the relationship of what I was asking about on what you just said.”
She then chuckled, “I know you will choose the detailed version, Fany-ah. I really did it on purpose for you to know about his real feelings. He loves you like he’s going crazy, you know. But yeah, because of that conversation he forced me to tell Yoong about our secret as he said he wouldn’t allow that I’ll become stupid like him. So he set us up. So I’m very thankful that he did that for me.”
“I see. He’s really... such a great guy.” I redirected my gaze on Yuri.
“Look at him. He was acting like a kid earlier and doesn’t want to come here. Now, he’s too happy hanging out with them.” Jessica said.
“Yeah... Damn. I really do miss him. But it’s all too late now, isn’t it?”
“Why? Did you already fell in love with Sooyoung?”
“No. At least not yet but I’m trying.”
“You don’t have to force yourself on something you don’t want in the first place, Fany-ah.”
“Jessie, this is what I want. Remember he’s the reason I came here?”
“No. You were just totally blinded about your precious past but if you dig in deeper on what you really want, your very reason is to find true love. And you did find it, but not with the prince you’ve been trying to seek.”
“Well, I did find it- but it’s not what I have expected. It all just ended with heartbreak. So at least, if I try to love someone else again, like what you did then I guess that will be the happiness I really need. See, you’re successful with it.”
“Yeah, I am but... will you?”
“I guess.”
“Fine, if you say so. I just wish you are doing the right thing, Fany-ah.”
“Don’t worry. I thought about this million times already.”
We both looked back at the four again. Yul and Soo are sort of conversing with each other deeply. They don’t look so serious though, they’re quite smiling genuinely. Good thing they’re talking to each other now. Yoong and Tae, on the other hand, are drunk-singing over a kiddie song on the karaoke. “Have you told Yoong that Taeyeon was your ex-boyfriend?” I asked.
“No. I don’t want to taint their friendship. It’s better this way anyways. It seems to me Taeyeon thought of the same thing too.”
“Good for you. You’re only experiencing implied awkwa
