When it snows outside on this winter night
I'm looking for a trace of you
I'll never forget the time that we've met
The winter when we fell in love
Fall time in Seoul isn’t like fall time in Alaska. Sure, it’s windy and there is a chill to the air, but Jayden couldn’t help but find a bit of amusement in the way people in Korea acted like it was freezing. The weather was actually nice to the foreign student, and he was enjoying every minute of it. As he entered his new classroom he ignored the stares directed his way, taking his seat quietly as he slipped his book bag off of his shoulder.
“Psss, aren’t you cold?” The heavily accented voice came from his left, and he glanced over his shoulder to meet the eyes of one of the most beautiful men he’d ever seen.
“No, you’re fine… I mean.. I’m fine…” he stuttered out, ears flaming red at the slip of his tongue, but the stranger merely laughed and gave him a wink in response. Jayden’s life would never be the same.

We had to go our separate ways

Was crying out for you to stay
The semester went by far too quickly, stolen kisses and private moments marking the best of the few months. As December rounded out, though, Jayden’s heart grew heavy with the knowledge that he had to return home to Alaska; his student visa was only good for the one semester. They made the best of the time they had, every moment spent together and falling deeper for the other every day.
As he dropped Jayden off at the airport, a present was pushed into the American’s hands. “Here… don’t forget me.” Their goodbye was sealed with the bitterness of a tearful kiss.
The years come and go but I'm still alone
