Chapter 01

Winter checked her wristwatch for the 7th time as she stood outside the crowded Arena waiting for her friend who just forced her to go to the concert that's happening in less than an hour. She knows how these works, they should've been inside by now specially since her friend, Ning Yizhuo got VIP Standing tickets for them. She's pretty sure that they'll be at the back now and won't stand a chance going near the stage nor the barricade.

After 15 more mins, A cars pulled up in front of her. She recognizes it and just as she thought, it's owned by Yizhuo's friend, Aeri. And to support this fact, she saw her friend getting off the car and greeting her with a hug.

"Minjeong-ah!! Thank you for waiting" Ningning screeched in her ears, making her roll her eyes.

"As if I have any choice? You're the one who has the tickets." She glared at the girl.

Ningning just chuckled and pulled Winter to the entrance, she handed the staff their tickets and made their way to the venue. "By the way, Aeri and her friend will join us in a while. They just parked their cars and will follow suit." she informs.

Winter just nodded her head, it's not like she has a choice anyway? She already knows Aeri or Giselle as they call her sometimes. Now she only has to be acquainted with the person she's with.

It didn't take long before they arrived, Aeri greeted her with an enthusiastic smile and wave. "Hey, Minjeong. Glad you came" she flashed a smile.

Winter returned the gestures, "I didn't have any choice" she then frowned.

Aeri just chuckled. Winter couldn't help but notice the girl standing beside Aeri, her striking blonde hair was hard not to notice especially if she looks like that.. blonde hair, blue contacts, smokey eye make up, red lips, one shoulder crop top that has a rose and the words "rich" imprinted on it and straight cut black jeans with platform shoes. Winter couldn't help but gawk. "By the way, this is my best friend, Yoo Jimin." Aeri introduced.

Winter saw the smirk the woman was wearing and she realized that she might've been caught checking her out. "Or you can call me Karina--?" She paused, waiting for Winter to introduce herself. "Minjeong or Winter, whatever is convenient for you." She smiled a little.

"Alright, MJ it is." Karina grinned.

"Nice, you're already on the nickname basis!" Aeri comments, "Please get along well" she pleaded to the two.

Both of them didn't respond as the lights turned off and the crowd started to cheer. The band started to play which got Aeri and Ningning joining the crowd that compressed closer to the barricades.

Winter and Karina however stayed back and avoided the crowd. "So.. do you like LANY?" Karina started the conversation.

Winter pouted, "Not really? I know some of their songs because of Ning but not really a fan." She explained. "You?" She decided to ask to keep the conversation going. She wouldn't want to disappoint the pretty girl, now would she?

Truth is, Winter knows Yoo Jimin or more popularly known as Karina. 'I mean, who doesn't?' She thought to herself. The woman is popular at their university due to her striking good looks, extraverted personality and to top it all off, she's actually a smart girl. 'Smart but dumb at relationships'. She thought again. There are rumors at school about Karina's last relationship, wherein she just broke up with her boyfriend because the guy is a known cheater but Karina was head over heels for him anyway.

'You were too good for him'. Winter thought to herself.

Karina smiled, "Same. I was just dragged by Aeri but who knows, I think it's gonna be fun." She looked at Winter and smirked, which got the shorter girl a little flustered.

'Does she know?' Winter panicked a little. Afriad that the blonde girl might know her little secret.

They started to bob their heads along the songs, some they know while some they don't. She tried to mask her admiration for the girl by acting cool and just going with the flow of the songs.

"Alright for our next song, we want you guys to just let go and have fun. Sing with us or dance your heart out!" The vocalist narrated.

The intro to the song ILYSB started to play.

"I like this song" Winter shot a look at Karina when she heard the woman mumble those words. "Dance with me, MJ" she started to sway while singing along to the song, pulling Winter with her to dance.

The shorter girl however was a little shy at first and could only look at the carefree woman enjoying herself. She can feel her heart beating a bit faster than normal.

Winter could swear everything that's happening around her was moving in slow motion. Especially Karina, who just looked so breathtaking from singing and dancing to the song.

"Slow dance these summer nights"

Winter started to feel the rhythm of the song too.

"Our disco ball's my kitchen light"

Her body started to slowly move following the beat.

"Yeah you need to know that nobody could take your place, your place"

Her eyes still locked on Karina who has finally noticed her moving.

"And you need to know that I'm hella obsessed with your face, your face"

She mumbled the words, to describe how she currently feels about the woman in front of her.

And just on cue Karina looked into her eyes and they started to sing the chorus together.

"Oh, my heart hurts so good

I love you babe, so bad, so bad"
