TRB in Chicago fan account!

hi hi~. this is my fan account for TRB in Chicago. I was meaning to do this a few days ago but I still can't believe that I seen them live so I might have missed some things out! (I barely remember what songs were played lmao, but thanks to some people on tumblr, they provided the tracklist!)

I'll just start off at when I met my friend because everything else was boring until then!

So round about 12:30-12:40, I went to Chicago Fire Oven to meet up with my friend Griffin. We had to walk past the venue in order to get to the place, and when we did we saw that there was already quite a long line. I repeat, this was at 12 o'clock, everyone had seats and the concert was at 8 o'clock. These people were pretty hardcore sitting out in the heat for so long! I even remember that one of the girls I had met later on in the day say that they waited until 9 because they heard that apparently the boys were gonna arrive at that time! So crazy, but a lot of dedication! The difference was, they had shade, whereas we didn't, so we had it more tough because not only was it like 29 degrees celcius, but we were also wearing black too!

When my brother and I arrived at the place, we both met up, chilled for a bit, ate some food because we were more excited than hungry to eat. We ended up talking for quite some time which kinda shocked me a lot because I thought it was going to be at least a little bit awkward, but it wasn't which I was so happy about! So we left around I don't know - 2:30? By this time the line surprisingly didn't grow THAT much, but it was still longer than when we first walked past.

When we arrived, Griffin's mum and my brother sat down while we gave out pins to the people at the front of the line and also got some pins in return which were so cool! There were so many people who made free and mega cool stuff which I'm so happy about! (i'm sorry I didn't make anything, i'm not strong in the arts and crafts department..)

Basically for the next few hours we just ran about talking to people. Now and then there would be random screams in the crowd and stuff and we'd get up and look, but there wouldn't be much there except for some hyped fangirls. There would be cars stopping and beeping, which made the whole crowd of us clap and scream; and there was a van that had 방탄소년단 on it which caused an uproar from the people too.

So that happened for quite some bit, and then suddenly the front of the line started sprinting away and Griffin and I were like ???? what's happening ??? and someone had said the BTS van had came in and so everyone took off and ran to the back of the venue where there was indeed a black van, but it was empty. So we all stayed put for a bit to see if anyone were to come out of the door thing that led to the back of the stage where the boys were seen going in just before we arrived.

But only the managers(?) and other staff seemed to just come out. I remember I seen a girl come out that was apart of the staff for BTS, and she was on the phone to somebody. I started to sing SHINee's Replay to her, you know the "noona nomu yeppo" and then I like started laughing and stuff and it was quite embarrassing because I don't even know if she heard me or not, but hey whatevs.

Also the choreographer came behind us, but only me and another girl who I'd met just there were the only ones that clapped and cheered for him. I said hi and he nodded his head and i swear a little bit of me died because he nodded his head at me and i was like alshdaskj. and then I was like, "why isn't anybody clapping? that's the choreographer!" and then I was like, "your dances are awesome!" and then he just continued to ignore me. then the girls beside me were like, "enjoy your starbucks!" and then at that point, i bursted out singing coffee and omg i'm such an embarrassment.

and again, we just went back to the line and chilled out for a bit until there was a flash mob that was actually really cool! they danced to bts songs and songs that weren't by bts, but they all killed it and it was amazing! (i have videos of it, but i haven't put them all together into one video yet, and plus you can hear me talk in the background if not sing, so i apologise lmfao. i'll link it when it's uploaded!)

so after that, the line started moving and we all went in. they did check our bags and stuff, but it was quick because they just glanced into your bag and if you had any drinks they just threw it out and then let you through. at this point i was like, legit panicking because it never really kicks in when i'm at concerts until i'm like actually inside so at this point i was proper like ashdalksjhdalkjshdaljhsd oh my god. Griffin actually told me so many times to calm down and i was just making myself look like a fool because everyone else was so calm and collected but then there was me and i was like ????? help ?????

blah blah blah, everyone had to get in lines because obvs there were different doors to different sections of the hall, so we all had to line up outside the doors of where our section is (which was 107). so after waiting a few minutes, the doors finally opened and at this point i couldn't stop shaking - i was so excited and so hyped you don't understand!! our tickets got checked and the person who was checking the tickets told you where you were sitting so it was easier for you to get to there, but i don't think their guidence was much help, as when i sat down i seen so many confused people walk past me and was like ??? where ???? lol. it was nice though.

the hall was sooo big, bigger than i thought it was and we had a perfect view! it wasn't too close but it wasn't too far away, but it wasn't particularly ideal seats since we weren't at the middle, we were at the back by the doors, but because it kinda had like a tilt thing (i'm so bad at explaining it) so everyone could see and no one was blocking each others way. (unless you were super tall and my brother is tall enough so he was worried he would block people, but i'm sure he didn't and it was all fine!)

we got in at around 7:20 and the show didnt start until 8, so everyone was just settling in, getting to talk to people and stuff before the actual concert started.

and when the concert started, damn.

DAMN.

i don't even think the concert had even properly started yet - the lights dimmed and the spotlights came on, and boy was the whole crowd screaming like never before. see, this is one thing that i loved the most about the chicago concert, the WHOLE crowd - literally everyone was so pumped and hyped. so that meant everyone started chanting bts and screaming - even before the lights happened! it was so amazing and at that point i was so proud to be there and be able to join the amazing crowd.

before i get into this: i have bad memory so i might have missed some things out and stuff because it has been like a week since i seen them and i do tend to forget the little things.

so first, it showed a vcr. it was a teacher and he was calling out the names of bts (as like a checklist to see if they were present in class), and damn, when a member's name was called the WHOLE place erupted in screams and endless shouting. it was AMAZING! after the teacher had called out the names of bts, he had warned everybody not to record, take photos, or even live stream. (i didn't even know you could live stream here, like what, are you gonna bring your laptop and wop out a huge camera or something?) and then after that, THE REAL vcr was shown - which i don't know what you called it but it was basically the introduction to trb and bts.

man was the crowd crazy. it was such a thrill too because near the end of it, you could see bts' silhouettes come onto the stage and literally you could have went deaf with the amount of ear piercing screams and shouts that was heard. then the spotlight went onto them, and man if you think it wasn't possible for the crowd to get louder, you were wrong.

they walked down the stairs and then N.O started playing and thEY WERE SO AMAZING ALJSHDLAKJHDLAKJSHDA. the whole crowd was screaming, singing, and chanting along, it was so so incredible like wow.

then after that they played we are bulletproof and ofc it was just perfect too.

i'm gonna go by this setlist and with my memory i'll see what i can remember. i'm not gonna write about every single song they did because my reaction would be the same - they were perfect live, they were so emotional and they easily got the whole crowd screaming!

i think it was miss right where they got the whole crowd to sing along. there were lyrics that was shown on the screen and man, almost everybody sang along and it was just literally so perfect and it made me so proud and happy to be apart of this fandom because everyone just connected with bts and it was just asjdhakhsdlkajshdlkahsdkljha /tears.

at the start of it, bts were like, "sing along with us! we'll have a practice first" and the lyrics then popped up onto the screen and the WHOLE place was just people singing along - not even bts were singing and it was so coOL. then afterwards, jhope and jimin started mimicking us because obviously not everyone could sing the lyrics and it was so cute because their laughs were so precious and just akjshdlkajshd. so then after they got into the actual song and when the part came around (i think it was the chorus) everyone started singing along with bts and it was just so unbelieveable.

YOU GUYS DON'T UNDERSTAND, I WAS SO  H Y P E D  AND  E X C I T E D  FOR CYPHER I ALMOST STARTED CRYING WHEN I SEEN THE THREE STAY ON THE STAGE AND THE REST OF THE GUYS WENT TO THE BACK!!! i kept telling everyone that i was so pumped for cypher, and when it actually came on i started jumping and screaming like i never screamed before and sang (which failed miserably) along with it (cos i can't rap to save my life lmfaO). but omg it was just so incredible, the amount of hype that was flowing through the whole hall was just phenomenal.

i was also pretty pumped for i need u as well because that is like one of my favourite songs now. again, the excitement level was just over the top and it was so amazing!!

then the pre-debut vcr played and i almost cried because it just inspired me so much and made me so proud at how much the boys have went through - all the tough days, sleepless nights, harsh criticism, extreme dieting just to get to where they are now made me just want to cry and hug them all for getting through it and being as marvelous as they are now. i just :'). bUT i didn't cry which i was happy about because i had make up on and i didn't wanna walk out like i was watching some sob movie.

then they said their thanks and stuff and oh my gosh they were all so cute and fluffy - jin's love for chicago's thick pizza, suga's love for chicago bulls(?)... and that was all i could remember because i was just so happy that i couldn't pay attention to what they were talking about because they all looked so gorgeous, even in their sweaty and out of breath state.

but the ending. OH MY. THE. E N D I N G.

EVERYBODY at this point was jumping, screaming as loud as they could, chanting, singing, waving their hands and glowsticks as much as they could! it was so fun because everyone was so pumped and into the mood - man i'm running out of words to describe just how WONDERFUL the whole atmosphere was, the crowds were intense and the boys were having so much fun!!! it made me smile to see them having the time of their lives after everything that had went on and honestly i just - it was breathtaking and just the greatest.

at the end, i need u played again (i think) and the crowds were still going at it, chanting and singing like bts were still performing it live. at the end, only taehyung and jin (i think there was someone else but i forgot) was left on the stage and when jin's part came around he started singing it again. then he went off stage and v kept on waving and it was so precious asdjaskjdhalkshjd, i think he walked into the curtain or something it was so cuTE!

all in all, i had the most amazingest time of my life at trb chicago. everybody was so nice and friendly and i even made some new friends and it was so cool!! i want to thank all the fans for actually making this such an amazing and unforgettable night, with being so nice and so understanding and joining in in all the fun with all the singing and chanting. i also want to thank subkulture for arranging this to happen! and last but not least i want to thank bts for putting on an unforgettable show with so much hype and excitement. it made me so happy to see such bright and shining smiles on their faces and just seeing them have the time of their life.

Oh my gosh you're so lucky! :) Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I want to go to a BTS concert, but I'd have to wait for them to come to the UK since I'm still a student and obviously school comes first. Though me and my brother (who is also a fan) already decided that we'd go to their concert at some point in our lives (whether it be in the US or SK). Just seeing all these fan accounts about their experience gets me all hyped up! :)
