Akira’s POV

Koharu-chan told me that after graduation, she’ll go back to Philippines. It’s a Saturday,  so I decided to tell the others about it. We’re

in Yaotome-kun’s shop right now. Except for Keito-kun.

“Yamada-kun!! What are we going to do?!” I asked.

“Calm down, Akira-chan.” Yaotome-kun said.

“But she’s going back without seeing Yabu-kun.” I said.

“I have to tell you something guys.” Yamada-kun said.

“If it’s not important, save it for tomorrow, we have to plan on what to do with the two of them.” Asuna-chan said

“That’s right. We can’t let Koharu-chan go back to the Philippines with a seeing her beloved! Huhuhu” I told them.

“How about we help forget Yabu-kun? Or put her on a blind date?” Yaotome-kun said.

“How about online dating?” -Asuna

Crazy ideas. What's happening to my friends. Whaa.. they're abducted by aliens..whaaa..

“Noo!!! We need to get them back together!!” I said.

‘But we don’t know where Yabu-kun is.” Asuna-chan said.

“I know where he is.” Yamada-kun interrupted.

“Yes. Fine. Megashare. Whatev—WHHHHAAAAAT???!!!YOU KNOW WHERE YABU-KUN IS? WHY DIDN”T YOU TELL ME?” I shouted.

“I was about to tell you but you guys are ignoring me.” Yamada-kun said.

“Since when did you know it?” Yaotome-kun asked.

“Since he transferred.” Yamada-kun said.

“Why didn’t you tell us?” Asuna-chan asked.

“Because that’s what he told me. He said that it’s better if only I and Keito-kun are the ones who know where he is. There is a less

possibility for Koharu-chan to know.” He said.

“Even Keito-kun knows this?” I asked.

“Yes.” He answered.

“YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLF US!! WE ALL KNOW HOW MUCH PAIN KOHARU-CHAN GOES THROUGH WITHOUT HIM! AND THERE

YOU ARE—“ I said. But Yaotome-kun held me.

“Calm down Akira-chan. Let’s hear him first. Remember what happened when we didn’t listen to Koharu-chan and we believed Freya-

chan instead?” Yaotome-kun said.

I remembered that time. When we left Koharu-chan all alone.

I calmed myself and then let Yamada-kun speak.

“Keito-kun is resting in his home right now.” Yamada-kun said.

“What?! Is he okay now?” Asuna-chan asked.

“He’s okay now. Freya-chan was kidnapped last week and Keito-kun came to her rescue.” He said.

“Kidnapped?! Oh my..” I said.

Why are all of these happening all at once?

“If you want to come, we’re going to visit the two of them later.” Yamada-kun said.

“Okay.” We said in unison.

“Putting that aside, why didn’t you tell us about Yabu-kun?” Yaotome-kun asked.

“Yes. Yabu-kun, after he transferred, he was immediately moved to the hospital.” Yamada-kun said.

“Hospital? Doue?” I asked.

“He..has..brain tumor.” He said.

Brain….tumor?

We’re all shocked at what he said.

“Brain tumor?” Asuna-chan asked.

“Since when?”

“He knew it the day before he broke up with Koharu-chan.” Yamada-kun said sadly.

“Is that the reason why he broke up with her?” I asked.

“Hai.” Yamada-kun answered.

“He thought that Koharu-chan would be really sad when she see him die so he thought that it would be better for Koharu-chan to hate

him. So when he dies, Koharu-chan won’t be hurt. Koharu-chan will feel hate instead of pain.” Yamada-kun added.

I hated Yabu-kun since the day he left Koharu-chan. But after hearing this, I want to hate him even more.

“Didn’t he think that Koharu-chan would just be hurt more when he did that?!! Koharu-chan loves him more than anyone else!” I said

while crying.

“He just did that for Koharu-chan. He has 2 months left.” Yamada-kun said.

“How about having an operation?” Yaotome-kun asked.

“12% chance of survival. 10% for surviving with memory loss and 2 % for surviving without any complication. He doesn’t want to take it.

He said that he don’t want to live a life without Koharu-chan. He wouldn’t risk a 2% chance.” He added.

“But we couldn’t just wait here. We should pursue him to take the operation.” Asuna-chan said.

“I tried pursuing him, but nothing happens.” Yamada-kun said.

“Maybe if he sees Koharu-chan he will.” I said.

They all looked at me.

“Why?” I asked.

“He endured 9 months to prepare Koharu-chan for his death so if we let Koharu-chan see her, all of that would be wasted.” Yaotome-

kun said.

“He’s been living in hell for that whole 9 months. He’s vomiting blood. He’s head hurts a lot. And he misses Koharu-chan.” Yamada-kun

said.

“If he’s just waiting for his death, why not take the operation instead?” Asuna-chan asked.

“That’s right! You should tell him that.” I told Yamada-kun.

“I’ll try.” He said.

“It’s graduation next week. And after that, Koharu-chan will go back to the Philippines.” I said.

“We should fix all of these before she goes back to Philippines.” Asuna-chan said.

“We should make Yabu-kun take the operation first.” Yamada-kun said.

“How about..” Yaotome-kun said.

We all looked at him.

“How about.. blackmail?” He said.

“Blackmail? How?”  I asked.

“Well, he endured 9 months to hide all of these to Koharu-chan. So we should tell him that we’re going to tell Koharu-chan where he is

if he doesn’t take the operation.”

We’re all silent.

“Yaotome-kun,” Yamada-kun said.

“You’re a genius.” I added said then patted his back.

“Well, well, well.” He said as he flips his hair.
