Effort Doesn't Betray You
[ CHAPTER 1 ]
Morning.
Nicole went downstairs, took her donut then quickly hugged her mother.
" Nicole ! You're late "
" I know mommy ! I'm running ! "
As usual she slept too much and now she was risking a scolding by her teacher.
When she arrived at the school entrance she stopped dead tired then started to run right after thinking about reaching her class in time but suddenly *BUMP*
" Sorry ! " Nicole bowed, her eyes widened seeing who was the person in front of her, Cho Kyuhyun.
" Effort doesn't betray you.. " he read picking up the notebook fell from Nicole's arm.
" It's a motto " she explained picking up the other books on the floor.
" Yours ? " she nodded trying not to meet his eyes, he was a guy who could easily make someone feel nervous.
" Has effort ever betrayed you ? "
" If it ever did.... that means I didn’t put in enough effort, Gotta go now ! " Nicole stood up then hold out her hand to take the notebook on his hand, but he drew back his arm.
" From now on.... you will be my girl " Kyuhyun leaned down on her height,
" Funny.. Who do you think you are ? "
" I'm the one.. " he paused creating more suspence " who won't let you free easily " the girl frowned then jumped on him " Give me that ! How did you ? " she shouted starting to loose her temper, the boy shook his head " If you want this.... " Kyuhyun didn't finish his phrase letting Nicole imagine the rest.
" why not one of your fangirls ? "
" because the diary I have.. is yours.. "

Break-time.
" Yahh Hara don't ignore Minho " Seungyeon dongsaeng,
" Unnie ! "
" It's ok noona, I'm already used to it " Minho took a glance on Hara who didn't look back, so a sigh came out from him,
" You have to act like this " Eunhyuk put his hand on Gyuri's shoulder to pull her closer then wrapped her in his arms, Minho pouted dying of jealousy,
" WAHHH LOOK ! Kyuhyun oppa is coming, " suddenly Jiyoung stood up pointing at the guy.
" With his fangirls as always " smirked Nicole who was totally indifferent at his presence, she was still upset for what happened that morning, though she kept everything for herself as he has ordered.
" I don't know what they find in him, " the goddess looked proudly at his boy who was still hugging her tightly, Eunhyuk may not be perfect, but he was so sweet and sincere towards her, that was enough to make her fall for him deeply,
" I'm so envious.. " Seungyeon crossed her arms rolling her eyes,
" He'll come back noona, just wait " Jonghyun patted the girl's head,
" Are you really going to keep your relationship even though Onew oppa is far away unnie ? " Seungyeon sighed at Hara's sudden question then gave out a smile and nodded, no one could replace Onew.
" Love, love, love, " Jiyoung shook her head, she was thinking again of Taemin, her first crush who already broke her heart getting a girlfriend,
" If you wanna love, you gotta suffer " Jonghyun took a glance on Nicole, who just laughed out loud at him. She wasn't still interested in love matters, she just wanted to enjoy her life with her friends.

At the school entrance.
Minho was waiting for Hara to come out, he wanted to walk her home so they could talk " 'Till when are you going to treat me like this ? " he stopped the girl who was trying to escape without his acknowledge,
" don't know " she mumbled trying to free herself from the boy.
" How many times do i have to say sorry ? " he pushed her against the wall, they were facing each other, she gulped then blushed feeling his breath on her.
" I'm not the one who wanted this to happen " she mumbled again looking down trying to avoid his eyes, his eyes could melt anyone easily, if she met them, it was the end, it would have been harder to resist him.
" Give me one last chance " he leaned his forehead on hers, his tears started to fall.
" I'm afraid, "
" Please " his voice was shaking, he kissed her, Hara pushed him strongly then ran away, " I can't " she thought.
Every single day Minho would wait her then beg her to forgive him, but she couldn't just forget the day she saw him with another girl, she couldn't just forget how she suffered, how she cried, as much as strong her love was for him, she still couldn't let everything go, she needed more time.
After running for awhile the girl stopped on her tracks panting, she placed her hand on her heart, it was beating so fast, it was still hurting, she remind of Minho's crying face and her eyes became watery, she shook her head and managed hardly to stop her tears.

Next Morning.
" running again huh ? " that voice, her goosebumps, it was him, for sure, infront of her house..
" what are you doing here ? " Nicole asked walking towads him,
" get on " Kyuhyun pointed at the back seat of his bike, the girl looked at it and shook her head " i don't want to.. "
" it's late.. " she checked her watch, she was too late, she jumped on reluctantly,
" hold on me if you don't want to fall off "
Nicole placed her hands on his waist, even though he was wearing a jacket, she could feel his abs, his scent.
" calm yourself, your heart is about to explode " Kyuhyun grinned, Nicole pinched his back, then she placed her hand on her heart, she was nervous, but the reason was still unknown to her.
School.
The girl got off quickly, she didn't want someone to see them together, " see you here later " he said, she didn't respond.

Break time.
" Aigoo unnie ! You should have seen him, his tears.... " Hara hugged Seungyeon helpless, when it comes to love matters girls were used to ask her advices, her relationship with Onew was something anyone would be jealous of,
" Hara your pride won't take you anywhere, just comeback to him " She caressed her dongsaeng's back sweetly,
" maybe I should find someone else " Hara placed her hands under her chin thinking " someone like.. Taecyeon oppa !" she suddenly exclaimed raising her voice,
" yah yah we can't be with his group, did you forget ? Don't even mention Seungri ! " Seungyeon pinched her friend's cheeks,
" Unnie, just boys we can deal with.. Super Junior and SHINee " Jiyoung jumped on Hara " ok.. Then.. Taemin ! " Hara gave an evil look to the young girl, who pouted right away hearing the name of her long lasting crush,
" Hara, stop it .. You know how sensitive she is when it comes to Taemin " Seungyeon laughed then kissed Jiyoung,
" Seungyeon I heard something about a fanboy of yours " Eunhyuk appeared and sat on the table,
" mmh, it's an Infinite member, he has been sending me flowers and stuff " Seungyeon was looking down, then a sigh came out,
" so Onew could.... " Jonghyun stared at Eunhyuk with a don't-try-to-bring-this-up face,
" These newbies has to learn how this school goes on " Minho appeared then sat beside Hara who immediately felt her heart skipping again,
" a fight again, i'm sick and tired of these groups things " she stood up and was about to leave, but Minho pulled her back to her seat " They are touching our girls that's why we have to act "
" our ? Do you have one among us ? " looking at his eyes made her voice shake, he didn't say anything,
" This is how our school goes on, each student belong to a group, some groups has to stay away from each other, and newbies can't deal with seniors, if someone goes against one of these rules then fightings are inevitable " explained Gyuri calmly. She was right, that school was well-known for such things.

Nicole was tidying up her locker, then Minho leaned on it sighing " smile Minho " she pushed him slightly,
" i'll walk you home today " he looked at her, she shrugged.
" it's been so long right ? " Minho nodded, he used to walk home Nicole, before he started to date Hara.
" at that time.. I was totally into you, but you didn't notice " he chuckled, the girl rolled her eyes " don't bring up the past ".
" I wonder if.... the two of us.. " the boy was interrupted by the her who jumped on him putting her hand on his mouth " it was impossible, I couldn't do it to Hara ".
" what if Hara didn't like me ? " Nicole shrugged, she never thought about that, he frowned.
It could have been a longer conversation if she didn't saw something familiar on the corner, a familiar bike, her eyes widened, she gulped, she stopped on her track " thanks for walking me here, but go now, see you tomorrow ", Nicole rushly said goodbye to her friend, who narrowed his eyes but then left.
Kyuhyun was now approaching her " what were you doing with him ? " she passed by ignoring him,
" Yahh Jung Nicole " the boy grabbed her hand " WHY ? "
" You're mine now, don't you remember ? "
