What is 'Ginger to your Gyudon'?
GINGER TO YOUR GYUDON: Explained
Long story short, “Ginger to your Gyudon” is an analogy to what I’d like to think my stories are to the pool of stories available here in AFF.
For those who don’t know what a Gyudon is, Gyudon is a Japanese beef bowl dish which I really, really love <3 So, according to google, this is Gyudon:
As it said on the description, Gyudon is typically served with a pickled red ginger to give a nice refreshing break to your palate. Because Gyudon can be a little greasy if you had too much, so that’s what the ginger is there for.
And I’d like to think that the stories under my GG collection are the ginger that can give you a short refreshing break from the stories around here on AFF. Don’t worry, my stories are not the main dish, they’re just the ginger—optional for you to take it. But it’d be nice to have some ginger to cleanse your palate once in a while so you can have more of those tasty beef Gyudon. *drools*
I hope I explained that well.
Most of the stories under my GG collection are psychological, gritty, and the sorts (can be very romantic too *ehem* read The Imaginary One *ehem*) as I am much more of a cerebral type of writer. They’re non-conformists in their own way since I, too, am a non-conformist.
I find that my stories are not for everyone, but I try to be as universal as possible. Try some ginger once in a while! I enjoy opening and dissecting brains, share life lessons I’ve learned, and hopefully give you a good reading experience.
