PLAGIARISM

Guys, this is terrible.

For some unknown reason, I decided to google some of my stories. Just bored, I guess.

But what shocked me more was the results.

I googled Sugar, Spies and Everything Nice, knowing that I would get google hits like the AFF Site, my profile on AFF, a blog on tumblr that shared a link to my story...

But I never did expect to see a smilarly-titled story posted on wattpad.com .

Curiosity got the better of me, so I checked it out.

It had the same description and the same chapters--everything was posted. The rating was PG-13 So I didn't know if the user posted the rated chapters or omitted the rated parts. I didn't get past Chapter 9 while scanning the chapters because it is so unfortunate. She had posted all 51 chapters, too.

What's another unfortunate thing is that there were no credits, no nothing. It said there that "All Rights Reserved 2012", but she's not the original author, right? How could she have the rights reserved?

I share my stories with everyone and I want everyone to read them, that's why I post it here on AFF. Since AFF is the first ever site where I have posted and shared a story and met awesome readers, I have decided with myself that I will keep posting my daragon stories ONLY ON AFF.

I get a lot of requests for PDF copies of my stories and I gladly email them to those who requested (except WolfxBlossom's stories: Authentic Divine, Taste of Love and Kindergarten Flirting, because she didn't give me permission to), with a promise that these stories are NOT TO BE POSTED ON ANY OTHER SITE.

I know I'm not a great writer, I have a big room for improvement and I have a long way to go, but posting one of the stories I worked hard on without permission is like stealing my hardwork away. I have worked hard to write Sugar, Spies and Everything Nice with the fear that readers might not like it (because of the different genre), but I continued because the comments of readers and friends kept pouring in. They kept me going, and so I worked hard to write those chapters.

Guys, I am requesting you to please don't upload the PDF copies of my stories that I have shared with you to any other fanfic sites or file sharing sites. If you guys want a copy of it, you can find it here on AFF and daragon hideout (I have posted Fire and Ice there) or I can send you a copy.

All you have to do is ask.

guys, the matter has been resolved.

the help team on wattpad removed the story for me.

Ive been away from Aff so long, so only just read this but i think its completely out of line when another copies your own hard work and claims it as their own! They have no right at all! Glad The matter solved for u

good am,ms. pinkemerald im a big fan of you and your stories. some of my favorite fanfics are your works, i would say that fire and ice is one of my favorites of all time, and i also love taste of love.. i know this is too much but can i have a pdf copy of taste of love? i wanted to put it on my cellphone so i can read it easily. i hope you dont mind me asking, thank you very much. you're one of the best....

its sad hearing incidents like this.. writers works hard to finish a story for the benefit of everyone reading and enjoying it.. the only thing we could do as readers is to appreciate the work and respect the authors right.. its really terrible to hear people stealing works and shares it without even asking for permission or givig credits. its a good thing u were able to resolve this.. u deserve the right to be respected..

you should report it authornim, if i'm not mistaken same thing happened to huntress-unnie right? with one of her works. gahd, some people just don't know how to respect other's hard work. on the brighter side, this means you're really good in what you do to the extent that it was plagiarized. hope everything will be fine, fighting!

I feel so sad for you Authornim. I know how hard it is to write a story. Have you asked wattpad to take down your story in their site? I hope that they will assist you in your situation since that story is the fruit of your labors. Fighting unnie!

OMG! First of all Plagiarism is a very very terrible crime and not giving credits AT ALL?!! WTF?!

That person should be contact immediately to put down the story and post apologize in public. I feel bad for you Authornim, I'm not a writer or something but stealing the works you've work so hard is a not joke :'(

authornim... a lot already experienced that :( i mean AFF authors especially DG authors being plagiarized in wattapad. wattapad is not even a good site. you should report it so it would be taken down and prolly the author as well. i think this what others did and they got a positive feedback, i hope yours will be the same.

I'm so sorry to hear that authornim! Well its been really a big problem of my other friends too. And the culprit most often can be found on wattpad....

It's really unfair. Especially you worked hard in everything for your stories. I'm praying that this could be stop. I don't even know the technicalities 'cause I'm really a techtard when it comes to this. But I think you can always report that someone...
