Almost Perfect
Description
They've known each other for years. He was a constant in her life, the best friend of her brother who had been there since she was a nine year old girl. She was the spoiled little sister of his friend's whose sole purpose of existence was to practice practical jokes on.
They grew up together almost like brothers and sisters until tragedy struck and his world turned upside down.
Foreword
HIM
He was her brother's best friend who married the love of his life six years back. A car accident at year two of his marriage robbed him of the happily ever after he thought he had when his wife died on the spot. He mourned his wife for four years and went to reside abroad within a year of the accident. It took four years for him to ponder at the possibility of coming back to Seoul.
HER
She knew him since she was 9 and he was 13. For the first few years, he was the most annoying boy she had ever met. He played tricks on her, mercilessly and critiqued her every move. As they grew up, she developed a kinship with him, seeing him almost as another brother.
THEM
It's interesting what an absence of four years could make to one's point of view. He was no longer an annoying brother figure but a troubled brooding man whose smile did not quite reach his eyes. She was no longer a spoiled little girl with a ponytail he used to pull and an attitude he would love to trample on but an understanding grown woman, something he had never realized until now.
Author note:
Hello! After months of disappearing from the world of writing, I am ready to be back with another fanfic, this time with my favourite pairing of Sungjae and Joy. Please do subscribe and I hope you'll enjoy the read :)
***edited: You might find meaningless updates from time to time with no new chapters (like now) because I'm a compulsive and impulsive editor. I update the chapters lots of time due to some grammatical mistakes that I realized after reading each chapter countless times. This time, I also changed the titles of the chapters halfway through. So if you received update notifications but found nothing of significance, please forgive me and bear with me. I will make it up to you by updating more regularly and frequently.
And please drop your comments. I love to read your views and reactions to each chapter. Your comments are my only means of assessing my chapters, whether they are good enough or lacking in any way. Constructive criticisms are always welcomed. So let me hear you say it out loud!! Xoxo
