Description
Wheein's new telephone set connects her to a stranger in the dark. As they talk, she feels something stirring inside her. Nothing is kept in the shadow, but does it ready to see the light of the day? A tale of fragmented souls, off-tangent feelings, and a discussion of make-believe.
Foreword
She closed the door behind her.
She was in a long daze before she went to the bed where that person lay. She did what they suggested she do: lay right upon the body, forehead against forehead, lips upon lips, and her palm right on that person’s palm. A slow, searching peck with a soft, almost protective instinct. She was checking on the person she just saved, Byulyi, who was starting to breathe slowly and evenly.
Suddenly, Wheein's face reddened.
