It honestly depends on what you're studying for, but in general, I've made up odd stories, lyrics to well known songs like ABCs (it sounds dumb but it works), and acronyms for me to remember content. Try connecting what you're learning with each other or reciting content out loud without referencing notes.

first, listen to your favourite songs...sooth your mind before you jammed your mind with so much info...
i would prefer to study at night...it's cool and quiet...
