one thing about soyi is that she overthinks alot. she doesn't really take things at a face value and tend to question things. even at the simplest things, she will look for underlying motives or meanings. unless she ask someone why they did what they did, she'll probably have a few sleepless nights. when she is stressed or experiencing some conflicts, she gets quite emotional in the sense that she is quite short tempered. she might burst out yelling for a second or she might feel like crying. when that happens, she usually would escape somewhere to be alone for a while to calm herself down before becoming her chirpy self again. she gets bored easily as well thus she cannot really stick to a routine. which is why for her work, she is always running here and there, meetings after meetings with different clients as she cannot seat still the whole day at her desk.  

BACKGROUND soyi was born in 1993 in seoul, south korea. she is an only child and grew up in a middle class family, her mother is an art teacher whereas her father is a detective in the seoul metropolitan police. she has always loved art since young and has a talent for it. however she wasn't able to get into design school as there were tough competition thus she took up journalism instead in seoul national university while minoring in fashion design as well. at the time she got her tattoo at 18 years old, she was excited. the idea of having a soulmate was exciting, she showed her parents and her best friend once she spotted it when she was in front of the mirror. her mother was excited as well hoping that her soulmate would be a rich handsome guy whereas her father was kinda indifferent tho slightly worried that her soulmate would be someone he had arrested before lol. every since then, soyi would always be on a lookout hoping she would meet her soulmate but years passed and her soulmate didn't turn up, alongside the fact that she ended up dating a guy (that wasn't her soulmate), she soon forgot about finding him and lived her life as per normal. 

currently, she is an editor at HAUTE MAGAZINE, performing very well ever since she came in as a small writer, she was soon promoted to editor just four years after she started working there. She is one of the most capable and talented editor in the field, being good at what she does for her love for fashion.

SCHEDULE 

weekdays // before heading to work, she will always stop by a cafe to get a cup of coffee. the type really depends on her mood, but her go tos are either vanilla latte, caramel macchiato or white chocolate mocha. she will arrive at the office at 9AM. She will start her mornings by going through drafts submitted by the writers. She will also be viewing the photos taken by the photographers for different projects/themes/issues. Her afternoons would be meetings with the other editors, writers, photographers and advertisers. she will usually leave office around 6PM if work is done for the day. But on days where overtime is needed, she would stay until 10PM. On some days, she will be outside the office, running around meeting with potential clients or even on site shoots. Some shoots could take a few hours or one entire day.

When she gets home, she will have a nice bath and then have her dinner/supper. She spends the rest of her evening relaxing, watching netflix or reading up on new fashion trends.   

fashion week is the time where she gets into super busy mode. As an editor, fashion brands would invite her and her other editor colleagues to fashion shows around the world to report on the trends. so she has the previllege of travelling outside seoul, to other parts of asia as well as europe and america.     

weekends // depending on the projects she has, her weekends is sometimes burned. well, mostly saturdays only. if she is busy with a project or upcoming deadlines, she will be spending her saturday mornings at the office if there are last minute meetings or drafts to submit. she will spend the rest of the day afterwards with her parents or best friend. she will either dine out, shopping or catch a movie. she spends her sundays sleeping in and just doing whatever she wants to do before preparing for work on monday again.

mentor // stephanie kim // senior fashion editor at HAUTE // stephanie is soyi's mentor when she first started working at HAUTE. steph was the one who showed soyi the ropes and basically groomed her from a little writer to the capable editor she is today. steph lessened her workload after soyi took over her job to concentrate and spend time with her children though she is still part of HAUTE as a senior member and is always the one soyi runs to when she needs advice or help in her work.

ex boyfriend // min ho jun // managing director at ANDERS (another fashion magazine) // hojun and soyi dated a couple of years back when they were in college. despite the fact that they weren't soulmates, the two ended up falling for each other and started dating. It was only towards the end of college where hojun found out who his actual soulmate was. Soyi broke up with Hojun once she heard that Hojun was arranged to marry his soulmate as part of an agreement between the two families (as it would help both family business). Hojun didn't want to marry Song Hee at first and even wanted to run away with soyi, but soyi insisted he stayed and marry her, afterall, the universe didn't place soyi and him together. under her persuasion, he married song hee and soyi left for overseas to do her masters.

SCHEDULE 

weekdays // he will always arrive at the office at 8am on the dot. His morning will consist of meetings after meetings. If he's busy, he will ask his secretary to get food for him but if he's not, he will ask soyi to have lunch with him and if she's busy, he'll bring food to her lol. His afternoons will be packed with signing of reports, leaving to meet investors etc. Occasionally he will walk around the office to see how everybody's working. He will also leave to visit on site shoots, interview etc. If he doesn't need to stay late at the office, he will leave around 7PM. When he gets home, he will on some jazz music, sip a glass of red wine and just read a book or netflix. he will always do some exercises before heading to bed.  

weekends // wakes up early in the morning to gym every saturday and sunday. he will work from home if he has some work to do, he will not go to the office on weekends unless necessary. in the afternoons, he will sometimes ask soyi to be his lunch buddy, citing bringing her to famous five star restaurants. in the evening, he will either meet his sister for dinner or he will just chill at home.

LOVE STORY 

first meeting: Before soyi and han met each other face to face, they had already knew each other. Or more like, han knew soyi before he became the CEO of HAUTE just never met her in person. Han's younger sister, Song Hee married Soyi's ex boyfriend, Hojun (an arranged marriage plus Hee and Hojun were actual soulmates). Han initially disliked Soyi (despite him not actually meeting her) because Hojun wanted to reconcille with her and almost cause the wedding to be cancelled. But Soyi cut ties with her ex, persuaded him to marry his soulmate and left korea to do her masters. She came back two years later and got a job at HAUTE whereby Han became the ceo after his father had passed. They met each other for the first time in person and that's when they knew that they were soulmates. Initially Han gave her a lot of (despite him knowing they were soulmates) because he thought that Soyi was going to come between Song Hee and Hojun. But Soyi showed her capabilities despite all the challenges he threw at her and excelled. Thus she earned her promotion from a writer to an editor. Hojun was impressed by her and started realizing that Soyi isn't who he thought she were. 
 

presently: as editor, she was the link between the writers/photographers/advertisers/clients and Han. Through different projects and work, Han and Soyi started getting closer. He likes working with her so he would often arrange it in a way whereby she would have to report to him etc. Outside work, they started to become closer like friends. Han started unknowingly, becoming a bit bias towards her. He find himself wanting to see her everyday thus he will make her come to his office every now and then in a day lol. Soyi would always call him out about this and warn him that rumors might start spreading. Every now and then Soyi would always question him with the way he's behaving or the things he say (which might have shown a little bit of how he feels for her). Most of the time he would not answer her and she would get annoyed cause then she would start questioning his motives and actions ("why is he behaving like this?" / "was that a attempted pick up line? why would he used a pick up line?" / "what does he mean by that? He don't like me right? This is absolutely impossible")

song han isn't sure if he has fallen for soyi, but he knows he's definitely attracted to her. he wants to see her everyday at the office and if he doesn't, he gets annoyed or frustrated. but he's afraid of commitment which is why he's always pulling and pushing his feelings for soyi. he gets jealous whenever the topic of soyi and hojun is being brought up but he'll also always be there for soyi whenever she gets upset or stressed out. on the other hand, soyi finds him annoying at first because of how bossy he was. the thought of soulmates wasn't exciting anymore when she knew he was her soulmate. but now, soyi finds herself starting to wanna rely on han especially when he's always there for her when she's upset/frustrated/stressed/angry. it seemed like han is also there as a distraction for her when she started reminiscing about her past r/s with hojun.
