get to know me (writer's edition)
oh, don't mind me. i'm just procrastinating on writing which i should be doing but i'm not oop. this tag is originally by savannah grace on her website. i saw the 8 things about me but i wanted to spice it up since most of us are writers yanno :'))

birthday: december 9th
hair color and length: light brown and to my (i got it dyed and permed lmao)
eye color: dark brown
braces/piercings/tattoo: used to, yes, and no
righty or lefty: righty but i'm trying to become ambidextrous just because i can
ethnicity: vietnam-cheese
firsts:
first fanfiction written: oh man. um. disjecta membra was definitely based off of the idea of my first ff. i never completed it because i obliterated it to hell. t'was complete trash. but yeah. the premise was this girl returning to her hometown and meeting her first love. there was really no plot which was the problem. and er i combined it with another idea i had to create what you now know as disjecta membra
first fanfiction completed: disjecta membra but i'm currently rewriting this to minimize plot holes and whatnot
award for writing: tbc
first publication: nope
conference: nope
query/pitch: no plans
favorites:
fanfiction (that you wrote): hands down. éphémère. definitely because of the execution. i had no concrete ideas for it but as i wrote it, the words just flowed and it became something special to me. sehunnah's character is my all time favorite out of all of his depictions on AFF. am i being too arrogant? maybe. but he's a great character and i just happened to create him.
genre: spell it with me. r-o-m-a-n-ce. i live for it. and i'm not even a romantic person. i just love the cheesiness of it. i consume it four forms. novels, mangas, movies/tv shows, and fanfictions. it's delicious and absolutely fun to write.
author: i can't pick one. so i'll go with two. one on AFF and a published author. on AFF, it's korekrypta. as for published, christina lauren. some honorable mentions include emilieee (she's fabulous. i love cutlass so much), lj shen (her writing is so horrendously good; it's probably more of a guilty pleasure of mine), rick riordan (his books are my childhood), and sally thorne (the hating game is the best enemies to lovers. PERIODT. if you haven't read it, go read it).
writing music: first of all, i have no sense of musicality so i'm gonna nope this one
time to write: when i was writing éphémère, i loved staying up 2-3 AM to write. mostly because it was quiet and i was the only one still awake. this is when my ideas are filled to the brim. nowadays, i can't do that because i'm working again.
writing snack/drink: water (bc all that writing makes me thirsty) and i don't really snack when i write because i hate getting grease on my keyboard (maybe i should start eating my hot cheetos with chopsticks)
movie: i can't think of one off of the top of my head. but i think probably 10 things i hate about you. i have a thing for cheesy late nineties to early 2000's chickflicks. i've watched most of them. trust me. also heath ledger. hello?? i'm only human.
writing memory: i never thought about this lol. i can't remember much when i'm writing because i'm one of those people who get in a writing trance and zone everything out. but if i had to pick, i guess every time i wrote éphémère because i churned those chapters out so darn fast and reading the story comments next morning had me crying
childhood books: magic tree house and the one that really spurred my love for reading was percy jackson. i was always into romance but the one that really got me into adult romance are colleen hoover's standalone novels. i read 2-3 of her books in the span of a day in 9th grade (wow that seemed so long ago...)
currently:
reading: nothing! but i just finished only, mostly, devastated by sophie gonzalez. it's a really cute lgbqt+ young adult book. i'm a very quick reader so you won't catch me currently reading something. i can read a full length novel in 4-5 hours. though when i want to slow down, i listen to audiobooks. if you're looking for a good romance to listen to, try sweet filthy boy by christina lauren. it's so gloriously ty (you might want a bottle of holy water next to you) but the male protagonist is the love of my life.
writing: disjecta membra and i have three other unfinished ff. i prefer to do large projects one at a time so pray that i finish DM by the deadline of the writing contest i signed up for
listening to: in this exact moment, i'm listening to schubert (yes, the classical composer). lately, i've been dabbling between my master playlist of my fav NCT tracks and baekhyun's new album. yesterday, i streamed turn back time bc i'm obsessed with xiaojun's parts in the bridge and also the chorus is a head banger
watching: backstreet rookie and it's okay to not be okay (ji changwook and kim soohyun are the loves of my life and so are a million other korean actors)
learning: to sing pinyin because i'm fluent in romanized hangul (i should probably learn proper hangul but my attention span rivals a gold fish)
future:
want to be published: nah
indie or traditional (publication): i'm not planning on writing as a career. it's more of a hobby of mine than it is something substantial.
wildest goal: become a surgeon and a writer (for fun) just like christine duan otherwise known as rainbowbrook on wattpad. she wrote kissing is the easy part and is honestly my biggest inspiration in life. her life mirrors the one i have in mind.
idk why this took me so long eep. alrighty let's see. i'm tagging: hk_ynm, skyebutterfly, blackberrykai, emilieee, kiyuleyy, and corgifae
