I was running in the dark
All alone, putting on the brave face before shark

But after a while, felt like I can't do it on my own
So shared my troubles with my friends on phone

They showed me different ways
Became hopeful and started seeing positive rays

But when the time came, they had their excuses
Still kept going, knowing people only uses

At last I finally saw light
Decided to let go of the past and start bright

Fate was still not done teasing me
Rat race is all I came to see

When I was about to reach the escape, 
Suddenly heard a loud bang and smokey vape

Not sure when is this gonna end
Hope I have enough strength to defend.
