posting stories

Anyone on here know any tips to staying motivated to post on here?

Lately I've been struggling to stay motivated to continue writing my stories/ posting them mainly because I don''t even know if anyone is still actually reading them. For the most part, when I manage to update, I tend to take a few weeks to do so (I have multiple ongoing stories), so I know slow updates can make some readers uninterested in reading a story, but I also can't force myself to write and post a chapter on a weekly bases (at least not things i'd be happy with)

the lack of engagement from readers also doesn't help. Like, did you like the chapter? Did you hate it? at least say something. how am I supposed to know if no one bothers to say anything?

It can get a bit disheartening when you spend time writing hoping to get some type of feedback when you post, but all you get is crickets

I understand how you feel. It is hard to get an audience for ships other than seulrene, exo x OC, or aespa.

A good advice I received was to decide why are you writing. Are you doing it for yourself? Are you doing it for views? Or are you doing it for the readers?

It can be easy to get distracted by the low numbers but, to me, even if I get only one comment, it matters to me and shows that there is at least one person enjoying my story.

I would advice to write the story you want to read and don't worry about not getting feedback. Each chapter you write, each story helps you to improve and the readers will come with time. It is way harder to get, let's say, 100 subscribers or even 10 subscribers a day if the ship is rare,if you are not a popular author.

Hope this advice helped you even a little bit.
