Vacation to S.K!

So from June 15th to July 6th, i was in paradise, although fitting INTO paradise was kind of hard, i still made my time in South Korea worth while.

It was THE BESTEST PRESENT EVERRRR. I got to go with older sister as a reward for getting into the top school in NYC.

You see, the people there are racist, i'm sorry i just HAD to say it. They're racist but they try "not to make it obvious"... I don't get it.

It's like if you weren't korean, or an oriental asian, you were made fun. Honestly i AM asian, SOUTH asain. I'm from a little country named Bangladesh which no one know about ^_^ And our skin color ranges from tan to daaaark brown. And everyone that's native to S.K is either pale, very white, white, and a verrrrrry little amount of people there are tan (mostly the guys).

So my sister is tall, the lightest amongst the whole family, and skinny, so i guess she fit in. And me, i'm tan-ish, face full-uh acne, stubby (but not short >:[ ), and i kinda have a hunchback...so i look really awkward when i walk.

But yes, i do have to admit, some of the girls and guys in their teens and early 20's seem to try too hard to try to look "good". The girls, WAAAY too much makeup, i bet they look pretty without it. And the guys have none or way to many colors in their hair O////O.

If you're wondering, were there any cute guys there? or any kpop-star-look-a-likes? MANY. Almost every girl i saw in their early teens looked so much like Seohyun from Girls Generation, i was afraid of even walking past them :O

And the guys? DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED! WOOOOOOOO! *_____*

I made some friends, two girls who are twin sisters, mi-jin and su-jin, and a boy, Dong-min. Don't worry they were actually in (American terms) High School like me, and their major (which i can't believe that in high school you get to start an actual major, like in college =__=) is English. They had kind of a hard time speaking with me and i had a hard time understanding what they said, but that was the best part. I love listening to other peoples' accents when they speak English. It's a different type of beauty to me. Over time, i think their English got better. Maybe i helped? :'D We got really close, and i really miss them alot. But we are keeping in contact through Facebook and through writing each other letters. I have 3 pen-pals!

Anyyywaaaayyy, the food there was absolutely scrumtious! I had alot of food from street venders;

Ddeokbokki: Its a spicy dish, and us Bengali's LOVE spicy food with fish. Especially me, i'm a er for foreign spicy food. But unfortunately, i had to pick out the pieces of fish and give them to my mom. I'm allergic to fish -__-

Ddeokbokki

Some plain ol' roasted corn

Fish cakes, i felt so left out while my family was eating this -_- I was standing there, looking for some cute guys >_>

This is called Ho Ddeok, they're basically flour balls stuffed with cinnamon and sugar. And you could have them either fried or deep-fried. I took fried.

You can't go to any asian country and NOT have dumplings. They're called Mandu in Korea. I took the red bean paste and noodle stuffed ones :)

Some american inspired fooooooooooooooooodddd! Corndogs and Frech Fries. But in Korea they call corndogs, hot dogs o.O But nontheless it was amazing. It has a spicy yet tangy crust, i want more D:

The restaurants are so nice. They're calm and most of them are quiet, besides families talking amongst themselves. I went a restaurant where they had the spinny thing where you just spin it and choose whatever you want. I even went to a McDonalds .__. But it wasn't like the restaurants. It was like any other American McDonalds you'd go to :p

A kpop fan can't go to Korea without buying kpop necessities. So i bought a bunch of albums, calenders, pens, stickers, posters <3

-Overall it was an amazing experience, and i would love to go back their after i get married and have my own famly. ^_^
