Talking To My Aunt About K-Pop

Okay so I was talking to my aunt about some of the troubles K-Pop groups go through right? I was telling her about Yoochun's father that passed away and when Yoochun was at his fathers funeral these crazy fangirls were outside the funeral parlor waiting to see him and taking pictures of Yoochun crying.

You know what she said?

"Well I don't feel sorry for him. He asked for all that fame and fourtune so why should I feel bad for him? Yeah I feel sorry his father died, but before he became famous he should've known this stuff would happen."

....

Okay what do you guys think of that? My nana actually gave her a funny look to and she told me 'That's wrong of those fans to do that'. So I'm glad she agreed with me. These idols didn't ASK to be famous did they? They didn't ASK to get all the money they have, I truly think there are down to Earth celebs both asian and american :shrugs:

She thinks all of them go on really expensive trips, buys expensive stuff when they should use all that money they have for charity or whatever. There ARE idols that do that stuff doesn't she realize that?I mean giving away to charity's and stuff. *facepalm* I think part of me thinks she's jealous or something but I dunno. This aunt is the same one by the way I told you guys about. The one who gets mad if we talk about her side of the family in front of her, yet she can talk about my nana's side of the family in front of US.

*sighs*

I love my aunt don't get me wrong I really do. But she can be kind of a snob sometimes...part of me's looking foreward to the day she moves out. I don't really talk about family members much over the internet unless it's a good thing but this is why my aunt irritates me a bit here. She doesn't realize how hard being a celeb can be sometimes.

Don't you think she'd be upset to if people were following her around everywhere she went? I would I know that. Sorry just had to let this out.

This got me shocked. What's wrong with having popularity? Being popular? It's ok to have fans, but it is not okay to have stalkers. It's different. In other countries aside Korea I believe it doesn't happen like this. There's a lot more respect.

My mom doesn't like KPop. It's because she says that Asians don't like black people. I somewhat believe it. But then the Asians that I like aren't racist either.

Honestly, idols are just people who are living their dream. They would probably keep singing and dancing even if they had barely enough fans to support them because they love what they do.
Now if it was a celebrity who became famous through nasty reality TV shows and they were captured in pictures for doing something illegal, yeah they kinda were asking for it.
