So with Thanksgiving coming up and Christmas next month, I'm going to be on a bit of a hiatus. Holidays tend to be drawn out, multi-day events in my family. Like baking cookies and making candy almost every weekend. (Yes all of us, including the neighbors, gain quite a bit of weight.) And we even have "gift wrapping days" when we come together and wrap presents together. So I'm not going to be able to write all that much with as busy as I will be. I might do a couple oneshots here and there as the mood grabs me and if I have some time on my hands.

To be honest though, I really feel like I need to step back and take a break. I confess that I've thought about quitting all together for the past few weeks for several different reasons. With as much as I use to love to write though, I really want to get back in to that and feel that again. So this holiday hiatus is coming at a good time. Take some time off, focus on getting myself right again, and then come back next year.

I'm sorry if this is disappointing to anyone. I am extremely grateful to every one of you for taking the time to read my modest stories.

So with that sad news, let me offer some goodies that I've been sitting on and hopefully see you in 2014. Love ♥

One Shot, Two Kills

"This is so much bull!” Daehyun yelled.
“Enough!” Himchan shouted at him.
Daehyun let out at frustrated growl as he rolled his eyes.
“We get it Daehyun.” Yongguk said. “But force isn’t always the answer. They’re only a small group.”
“But if we let them go without retaliation, it’ll look like we’re weak.” stated Daehyun. He placed his hands on the pool table and leaned forward. “Then other groups, bigger gangs, will notice.”
“You have a point.” Youngjae told Daehyun. “But there could be other consequences from us attacking.” He pointed to the map on the pool table. “The group is here.” He dragged his finger across the map. “What if we attack and they move back to this bigger gang, joining them? Then that gang could attack us.” Then he swept his hand over the rest of the map. “Or someone could see us attacking and use it as a distraction. Attacking us elsewhere when they think we’re preoccupied.”
Daehyun huffed but didn’t say anything. His annoyance still coming through with the way he gritted his teeth and gripped the edge of the pool table.
Yongguk turned to the two youngest. “What do you guys say?”
Zelo looked up from the map and gave Daehyun a guilty look. “Sorry but I have to agree.”
Jongup nodded in agreement. “Yeah.”
“It’s settled then.” Himchan said. “We don’t retaliate.”
“Post a couple extra members around there though.” Yongguk told him. “In case they try to attack us again.”
“Good idea.” Himchan agreed and then went upstairs to set it up.
Daehyun stayed standing there for a moment before slamming his hands on the pool table. Then he went to go upstairs as well.
“Daehyun.” Yongguk said and grabbed his arm.
Daehyun yanked his arm away though and kept walking. The other three exchanged looks, Youngjae patting Yongguk’s arm reasurringly, and then they left as well. Yongguk sighed and placed his hands on the pool table as he let his head hang down.

Currently Untitled

"Uh... hello?" Jisun called out to the stranger.
He continued laying on his stomach with his head turned away from her so all she saw was his black hair. She slowly moved closer until she could reach out with her foot and nudge his shoulder. He didn't stir yet again and so she hesitantly knelt down beside him. Taking two fingers, she placed them on his neck and let out a breath of relief when she felt a pulse. At least she wasn't dealing with a dead body.
Placing a hand on his back, she gave him a hard shake. "Hey!"
Nothing and she bit her lip in confusion. She stood up as she reached over and grabbed him, pulling his body so he rolled on to his back. Then she stumbled back really fast at the horrible sight before her. His black shirt was torn and the skin underneath was red with blood. She quickly stared down at her hands and at the blood now covering them, her jaw quivering. She needed to get help.
Just as she turned to hurry home, another boom of thunder broke the surrounding silence and caused her to jump. She looked up through the trees to the sky and saw black clouds above her. Any minute now, the rain would fall and soak the earth. By the time the police would arrive after the long drive up the mountain, he would have been out here for quite a while. No telling how long he had already been laying there or how much blood he already lost. She looked through the trees and saw the light from her back porch. It wasn't that far.
Taking a deep breath, she turned back and looked at the injured guy. He was bigger than her but she had to try. She stepped around by his head and lifted his upper body so she could get her hands under his armpits. Then she started tugging, dragging his body towards her home. It was hard work and slow going but she didn't give up. If jostling him around like this didn't wake him though, he was really knocked out. 'And really hurt.' she thought.
The only sound in the forest were her heavy breathing and grunts until there was another clap of thunder. Then the rain started pouring and she cursed as she started slipping a little. Glancing behind her, she saw the house and how close she was before she lost her footing. She cried out as she fell hard to the ground, landing on her hip and the man landing on her legs. Her hip throbbed painfully to join the ache in her back and shoulders from dragging the unconscious guy.
"If you're ever going to wake up, now would be a good time." she commented as she winced in pain.
She looked down at his face, washed clean now of the dirt that had been covering it thanks to the rain. He didn't appear to be much older than her. She reached out and wiped at a cheek, brushing off some of the remaining dirt. His skin was cold to the touch despite the coolness of her own skin. She shivered and then shook her head. Now wasn't the time to keep sitting on the wet ground. She had to help him.
