As a promoting girl group, we were constantly surrounded by handsome guys. They were Idols- like us- and completely unapproachable for the most part. We had to stay pure and single in order to sell the fantasy we were expected to create for our fans. Idols belonged to their agency and fans. Our whole world revolved around those individuals that bought our albums, merchandise and came to our concerts and fan-meets. An idol’s image is everything and one small mishap could tarnish it and possibly ruin them and their group forever. We were constantly being watched by our fans with their expensive cameras that could spot even the slightest eye contact between two idols of the opposite .

The end-of-the-year music festivals and awards ceremonies were especially risky due to the collab stages and the proximity of all these popular idols in their seats. The greetings were awkward and rigid amongst groups that had promoted together for weeks. Boy bands and girl groups kept their distances despite being good friends and maybe even more because of a single moment that could ruin them and their group.

However what the fangirls didn’t know was that behind the cameras, these idols were humans too and they had weaknesses. They fell in love, dated secretly, broke-up, made-up, and dated other idols as well. Even as trainees, we were weak. We were young and eager to fall in love.
