Her Name Was Emily

Description

“Whatever happens, I will not forget you." He smiles gently down at me, stealing my lips with a kiss.

Foreword

Woot~! My first k-pop fanfic! Just a fluffy love story with a twist. Wish me luck!

The romance will be slow. I like to build the characters and their relationships, and not just go from strangers to lovers in two chapters. But there will be all types of romance~ Cute, funny, fangirl crazy, y~ xD

Plot

I started with nothing but three bags and one thousand US dollars in my pocket.

I gained:

Friendship

Love

Acceptance

A home

A cat

My Dream

A job

Peace

It was all so perfect. He was perfect. My life was a dream that didn’t stop.

Instead it crashed.

Why did it have to disappear?

I ended with a lose and a sacrifice.

Prologue

Fear, excitement, and anxiousness all pass through me at once as I take my first steps onto South Korean soil. The rush of it all makes me feel so light-headed that I find myself constantly telling people sorry as I try to find the luggage drop. The keyword here is “try.” For I did try, I searched in my awed state for an hour just looking for that stinkin’ luggage. An though my Korean is flawless (most of the time), my knowledge of in Hangul is still shaky. The characters all look the same to me! It was like it was my first time looking at the language. I sigh, shrugging off my backpack I let myself flop down on a bench.

“Which way to go…” I mutter to myself, determined to find my way and not ask for directions.

I will be living here, working here, eating here. If I can’t even find my way around a blasted airport how am I going to get around Seoul? Now completely frustrated I stare at the directions with intensity. Determined in my own stubborn way to find out the way to go, while kicking myself for not just following the rest of the passengers on the plane instead of going goo-goo over the airport, I glare at another sign and strut towards it to get a better look.

One second I am deciphering Hangul the next I find myself staring at the cold, granite tile floor. Ugh, my day can not get any better. I get to my knees only to see the object of my collision lying under me. With a shout of surprise I quickly remove myself from above the hooded Korean man.

“Ah, sorry, I’m so sorry. I was…” I fumble through my words trying to find the right expressions to say as a older man comes over and helps the hooded man up.

“Oh, it’s my bad. I wasn’t paying attention.” He smiles a smile that could out shine the sun and gives a little bow.

“Oh no, no it was my fault. I was paying more attention to the signs then to where I was going. Again, I’m sorry.” I give a bow making a mental note to remember to do that.

“Your Korean is very good. Is this your first time to Seoul?”

“Yes, I’m moving here from America.” I give him a smile. Glancing at him I notice that he looks my age and very fit even with his sweatpants, hoodie, and sunglasses. One word, shady.

“Well I hope you enjoy Korea!”

“Young Bae, we need to get going.” The older man says.

“Ah, ok it was nice meeting you.” The shady character gives another amazing smile and turns to leave. I give a smile and watch him go. Turning my attention back to the signs an idea pops into my head. With a start, I jog after the receding pair.

“Wait,” I say catching up to the two men. They turn to gaze at me once again. “Do you two by any chance know where Luggage Drop D is?”

The shady character smiles and points, “All the way to the end that way, then it will be on your right.”

I bow, “Thank-you so much!”

He smiles again, a black Mohawk peeking out from under his hood. With a final good-bye he and the other man leave as I race in the direction he said, now conscience of the people around.

I sigh to myself. When in doubt, ask for directions you idiot.

Characters

Will add them as they appear in the story, as of now there is…

Woo Dong Minhe: One of Emily's assistants, he is 20 years old. He is studying at a local art college and is a assistant Manhwaka to help pay for his schooling. He is very nerding and out of style. He is a very good background artist and wants to be big in the Manhwa industry someday. Though he seems very shy, once he warms up to a person he becomes quite the chatter-box.

Min Ji Hoo: Lazy, tall, and very skinny, Min Ji Hoo is 26 and a high school drop-out. Though he is very good at the art he only wishes to be a assistant. He is in love with his long time high school girlfriend and wishs to marry her soon. He wears baggy clothes despite his thin frame and has long black hair that he normally keeps in a ponytail. He is also one of Emily's assistants.

Jang Hyun Shik: 22 years old and handsome, Jang Hyun Shik has a BA in Graphic Design, but fell in love with Manhwa. He is one of Emily's assistants. He is working as a assistant till he has a feel for the art, then he wishs to publish his own work. He cocky and handsome with dark brown curls and a playful smirk always on his face. He reminds Emily of actor Lee Min Ho in Boys over Flowers.
