Make Me Love You

:: Europe, Here I Come! ::

Goodbye, London! Hello Paris!

~ Happy birthday, Im Yoona! ~

Three days later

“How’s your fever?,” the person on the line asked. Yuri was staring outside from the window of his hotel room.

“I think it’s already gone. But I still have a cough,” Yuri replied.

“Good to know that. I bought a herbal tea with honey for you to drink from the oriental clinic. They said it is good for your throat,” the person said.

“Thanks, anyway. How’s Hani?,” he asked.

“She’s having fun so far. Since today is the last day of our stay here,” the person replied.

“Chincha? Thanks again, Yoona. I feel envy I couldn’t join you two, though,” Yuri said.

“There will be next time, Yuri. You can always come here again for a vacation whenever you want to,” the person, Yoona replied. Yuri just sighed.

“I don’t know when will be the next time. Hani will grow up later, and I don’t think she wants to go for a vacation with her father anymore,” he said in a sad tone.

“Why are you sounded like Hani is already twenty one years old? She’s still a kid, though. Of course she wants to go for a vacation with her father. Who else?,” Yoona snapped at his silly thought.

“Aishh.. You don’t know about parents' feelings, Yoona. When you get married and have your own kids someday, you will know how it feels when your kids growing up,” Yuri said.

“Aigoo.. Kwon Yuri. You and your silly thought! Just wake up from your dream. Hani is still in kindergarten until next year, though. She’s still a small girl. You have plenty of times to spend with your little girl. Still got a long way to go for her to become an adult,” Yoona replied as she tried to put some sense into his head.

“I wish I could have more child so that I will not feel lonely when Hani is growing up later,” he just talking mindlessly.

“Go find other woman who can accept you, silly!,” she said as she chuckled.

“Easy for you to say, Yoona. I can find any woman I like if I don’t have a child and still single. Not all girls want a widower like me,” he replied in serious tone.

“Ya! What are you talking about? Aishh.. Hani wants to go to the restroom. We will be back before dinner time. Talk to you later. Bye!,” Yoona hurriedly said as she hung up. Yuri looked at his phone in disbelief.

“I was about to ask her, though. Aishh.. Kwon Hani! You are spoiling daddy’s plan, you brat!,” he grunted. He was about to walk to the bed when his phone suddenly ringing.

“Hello?,” he answered.

“Ya, Kwon Yuri! Is Yoona with you?,” a familiar voice asked.

“She’s out with Hani, Sunny ah. Why?,” Yuri replied.

“Why are you not going out with her and Hani? What happen?,” Sunny asked.

“I got a fever two days ago. Now, the fever has already gone, but still have a cough. Anyway, why are you asking me about her? Have you tried to call her?,” Yuri replied.

“You got a fever? Sorry to hear that. The reason why I calling you just now, Kwon Yuri, is because I have tried to call her since this morning, but no avail. I wonder whether she’s purposely did that, or there’s a problem with the phone’s roaming,” she said.

“I think both, maybe.. Hehe..,” Yuri jokingly said as he chuckled.

“Ya! I don’t like jokes!,” she replied in annoyed tone.

“Ya! What is it so important that you want to talk to her, huh?,” Yuri asked.

“I just want to wish a happy birthday to her, that’s all,” she casually replied.

“W-what? Her birthday? When?,” Yuri asked in surprised.

“You don’t know? It’s on today, you silly!,” she replied.

“Ya! How would I know, though! You never told me before,” he snapped at her.

“Aishh.. I asked you to ask by herself before, right? Have you ever did that?,” she said.

“You know her well, right? She won’t give a damn about that,” Yuri replied.

“Try harder, you silly! Now that I have already giving you a chance, it’s up to you to grab it. Good luck!,” Sunny said.

“Aiguu.. It’s easy for you to say. Anyway, I will think about it later,” he replied.

“Alright. I will try to call her again. Take care, Yul ah,” Sunny said.

“Arasso. You too. Send my regards to Hyomin. Bye!,’ Yuri replied.

“Arasso. Bye!,” Sunny said as she hung up. He then walking back and forth in front of the bed. He suddenly stopped walking when an idea suddenly popped into his mind.

“Let’s make a surprise birthday celebration for her!,” he said as he snapped his fingers. He then quickly heading towards the handy and sat on his bed while dialing the service room number.

“He said he went to the shop nearby the hotel and will be back soon. Just wait inside his room with Hani,” Yoona mumbled while reading the text message which Yuri sent to her half an hour ago. She’s already at the parking space of the hotel.

“Hani ya. Daddy said he wanted us to wait for him at your room. He said he’s already made an order from room service for our dinner tonight,” Yoona said to the little girl while unbuckle her seatbelt.

“Daddy is not feeling well again?,” Hani innocently asked.

“I’m not sure, sweetie. Maybe he’s still feel weak. It’s okay, sweetie. Maybe he don’t want to eat alone, so he ordered a room service for dinner. Kaja!,” Yoona said as she went out of the car first and rushed to the passenger’s side to open the door for Hani.

“Gomawo, imo,” the little girl thanked her.

“You’re welcome, sweetie. Kaja!,” she replied while holding Hani’s hand, heading towards the elevator.

“Birthday cake, check! Flower bouquet, check! Let’s wait for the birthday girl to come, hehe..,” Yuri giggled while holding the birthday cake inside the bathroom. After he received a call from Sunny earlier, he immediately called the room service to order a special menu for birthday celebration, and he also asked them to set up the table for the dinner, which happened to be the coffee table inside his room! He then went outside to find a nearby cake shop and florist, and luckily both shops were located nearby the hotel.

Not long after, he heard the sound of the door being opened. He just wait for Yoona and Hani to get inside, and then he will come out from the bathroom.

“Hani ya, imo smell food!,” Yoona said. Yuri quickly opened the bathroom’s door and…

“Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to Im Yoona, happy birthday to you!,” Yuri sang the birthday song while holding the birthday cake with candles lit on it. Yoona was agaped, stood froze at her spot, while Hani was clapping her hands happily.

“Yuri.. w-what, h-how..,” Yoona stuttered as she lost for words of what was happened.

“Palli! Make your wish and blow the candle!,” Yuri said while brought the cake closer to Yoona. The latter just comply as she immediately closed her eyes and make her wish before she blew the candles.

“Yeay!,” Yuri cheered, and Hani clapping her hands while happily jumping up and down. He then walking towards the coffee table and put the cake in the middle of the table.

“Let’s have our dinner first, and then we can cut the cake,” he said. He then opened the wine bottle, and poured the red wine into the glass. Red wine is Yoona’s favorite, and before he made the order, he texted to Sunny first, asking her on Yoona’s favorite drink.

“Wow! Steak! Hani loves steak!,” the little girl happily said while looking at the food on the table. There were three sets of sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and butter grilled asparagus. Again, it’s Yoona’s favorite food, and he decided to order the same for him and Hani.

“Let’s have a seat,” he said as he took his seat at the long sofa next to Hani, while Yoona took her seat on the other single sofa.

“Jalmukesumneda!,” Yuri said, followed by Yoona and Hani. Yuri helped his daughter first by cutting the steak into small portions. While Yoona drank the wine first before she started cutting her steak.

“How did you know today is my birthday?,” Yoona finally being able to ask the question she wanted to ask since then.

“Well, I don’t want to lie to you. Sunny called me earlier this morning when she couldn’t reach you. She said she wanted to wish you for your birthday today, and since we are here, I planned to make a surprise birthday celebration for you. I know you didn’t ask for it, but I feel like I want to celebrate your important day in here ,” Yuri truthfully said. As much as Yoona wanted to argue, she didn’t have a heart to do so, instead she felt fluttered and overwhelmed on what Yuri had done for her.

“Ermm.. thanks, anyway,” she thanked him. “Hani ya, do you want to eat the cake?,” she asked the little girl who was busy munching her food. Hani nodded her head. “Alright, finish your steak first, and then we will eat the cake,” she said.

“Dae!,” Hani replied while continued eating.

“So, what time is our flight to Paris on tomorrow?,” Yuri asked.

“Late afternoon, around 5:00 p.m. We can straightly go to the hotel for check-in, and then we just have a dinner at the hotel and rest. I book a car too, so that we can start our tour on the next morning,” she replied.

“You know the road there too?,” Yuri asked in surprised.

“It’s not that hard, Yuri ah. We have GPS nowadays. No need to worry about that,” she replied as she smiled.

“I’m really bad in using GPS. I usually driving using my own sense, but I will study the route first before I want to go to the unfamiliar place,” he said.

“Aigoo.. So old school!,” Yoona said teasingly and chuckled.

“Call whatever you want. That’s my style, for your info,” he nonchalantly replied.

“Daddy, can you pass me the orange juice, please?,” Hani said. Yuri immediately took the glass of orange juice, and put it next to Hani’s plate. “Thank you, daddy,” she thanked him.

“You’re welcome, baby. Wow! You have already finished eating your steak. Are you that hungry, baby?,” Yuri asked as he was surprised looking at Hani’s empty plate. She even ate the veggie which he thought she won’t eat it at first.

“The steak is so delicious, daddy. Hani likes the vegetable too,” she replied.

“Good girl, Hani ya! You know, this vegetable is imo’s favorite,” Yoona said.

“Chincha?,” the little girl asked. Yoona just nodded with a smile. “Imo likes it because it tastes good, right?,” Hani asked.

“Yes, sweetie. It tastes good, and it’s good for your health too. It’s full of nutrients like fiber, vitamins, calcium, and protein which are good for you,” Yoona explains, causing the little girl and his father agaped with her knowledge of the bright green veggie.

“Ah, yeah. I forgot she’s a chef. Of course she learned it from school, though,” Yuri thought.

“Wow! Imo jjang!,” Hani said while giving her thumbs up, causing Yoona and Yuri chuckled on her words.

“Imo is a chef, Hani ah. Of course she knew everything about food,” Yuri said to his daughter.

“Ah, Hani forgot about that,” the little girl replied while smacked on her own forehead. Yoona just giggled on her cute act.

“Alright, let’s cut the cake!,” she said as she took the plastic knife and began to cut the cake.

“Thanks again,” Yoona thanked Yuri as she was standing at the doorstep of the room.

“No problem,” he replied. Yoona then took the plastic back which she was holding since then and handed it to Yuri.

“Here. I forgot to give it to you,” she said. Yuri took the plastic bag and looked at the content inside.

“Herbal tea with honey?,” he asked.

“Yup. Drink that before you go to sleep. It will lessen your sore throat,” she replied.

“Arasso. Thanks,” he thanked her. The latter didn’t reply, instead she just let out a smile.

“Alright, I will go now. Hani ya, sleep early tonight, arasso? Tomorrow we will have our last breakfast in here, and we will be going to the new destination,” Yoona said as she patted gently on the little girl’s head.

“Dae, imo,” Hani replied. After bid each other goodnight, they then went inside their respective rooms.

Yoona put the flower on the coffee table of her room, and slumped her body on the sofa. While staring at the flower, she suddenly spotted a small card in between the flower’s stem. She immediately took the card, and saw her name written on the envelope. She opened the envelope and took out the pink colored card with Rilakkuma’s character at the front. She opened the card, and read the content.

“Happy birthday, Yoona. May everyday bring something new and exciting for you. May this birthday turn out to be as amazing as you. Thank you for being so considerate to me as a boss, and a friend to Hani. May all your wishes will come true.

With love,

Kwon Yuri and Kwon Hani

She smiled after reading the wordings on the card. She put the card on the coffee table, and leaned her back on the sofa and sigh.

“I wish I could know you better, Kwon Yuri,” she thought.

“DING DONG!”

“That must be Yoona imo. Let’s go Hani ya,” Yuri said as he got up from the sofa, and walked towards the door. He opened the door, and saw Yoona was standing in front while smiling.

“You are in a happy mood,” he said.

“Of course, I’m. Why?,” she replied.

“Ermm.. nothing. Good to know that. Hani ya, kaja!,” Yuri said while holding his daughter’s hand, and both of them went out of the room.

“Hani ya. Are you still feel sleepy?,” Yoona asked while looking at the little girl with her eyes half closed. She nodded her head slowly in response. “What have you done last night? Imo said you should go to bed early, right?,” she asked. Yuri smiled as he lifted her daughter and carried her into his arms.

“She watched cartoon channel until late night. I told her to sleep early, but she begged me to finish watching it, it continues until midnight,” he said.

“Aigoo.. Don’t do that next time, okay sweetie?,” Yoona said while caressing the little girl’s head. Hani just nodded as she was too sleepy to give a bright response as usual. The trio then entered the elevator to the ground floor, heading to the restaurant for breakfast.

Later on that afternoon, at Heathrow International Airport

“Sorry, I could only book economy class ticket for us. All seats are full today,” Yoona said as they were sitting at the waiting area at the departure hall after they have done with the check-in process.

“It’s okay, Yoona. It won’t take a long flight, so, I’m okay with it, right Hani?,” Yuri replied while looking at her daughter.

“Yes, daddy. Imo don’t worry, okay? The most important is, Hani can have a seat next to the window,” the little girl said as she smiled brightly.

“Aigoo.. This kid!,” Yuri said and shook his head, while Yoona just giggled on her words. Not long after, they heard the announcement was calling for the passengers to board to their aircraft to France.

“Kaja!,” Yuri said as he got up from his seat, followed by Yoona and Hani. Yoona holds Hani’s hand while tailing Yuri from behind.

Hani happily sat on her seat next to the window, followed by Yoona in the middle and Yuri next to her. Hani had requested to sit next to the window when they arrived at the airport earlier. Yoona and Yuri just gave her in as long as she’s happy, and they didn’t bother much about the seating arrangement.

“Hani ya, do you want anything to drink?,” Yoona asked the little girl.

“Can Hani have orange juice, imo?,” she asked. Since the flight took about one hour and fifteen minutes, so they didn’t provide meals in flight.

“Sure, sweetie,” Yoona said. She then called the flight attendant who was pushing the drinks cart near them, and asking her for a cup of orange juice.

“Thank you,” Yuri thanked her and hand over the cup to Yoona. She took the cup and pulled the tray before she put the cup on the tray for Hani.

“Thank you, imo,” Hani thanked her.

“You’re welcome, sweetie,” she said. She was about to recline her seat when suddenly she felt a weigh on her right shoulder. She turned her head on the right, and found out Yuri’s head was leaning on her shoulder. She was about to push his head to the other side, but then she felt his forehead warm.

“Don’t tell me you still have a fever?,” she mumbles while gently touching on Yuri’s forehead once again. Indeed, she could feel his forehead warm. “Aishh.. Why are you so fragile, Kwon Yuri?,” she mumbles as she just let his head leaning on her shoulder. She then felt Yuri’s arm suddenly wrapped around hers, and she could feel he was shivering.

“It’s cold,” he mumbles. Yoona’s eyes widened in shock and was about to push his body aside, but then the flight attendant suddenly came and asked her.

“Ma’am, is your husband okay?,” she asked in concern. Yoona was perplexed at first, but then she let out an awkward smile to her.

“Erm.. he.. he’s having a slight fever. Can you give a blanket for him?,” Yoona hesitantly said.

“Sure, ma’am,” she replied and immediately opened the overhead bin above their seats to take the blanket. “Here you go, ma’am,” she said as she handed the blanket to Yoona.

“Thank you,” Yoona thanked her and took the blanket.

“You are welcome, ma’am. Just call me if there’s anything you want,” she politely said before she left. Yoona nodded and smiled in response. She then spread the blanket and put it on Yuri.

“Is daddy okay, imo?,” Hani who was watching on what happened since then suddenly asked.

“I think your daddy is still having a fever, sweetie. Let him sleep and rest for a while, okay?,” Yoona replied. Hani nodded in response. But then, she asked her again as curiosity kills her.

“But, why daddy sleep on imo’s shoulder?,” the little girl asked, causing Yoona stunned. She then slowly cleared and smiled to the little girl.

“Daddy is shivering from cold, so he leaned closer to imo to keep the warmth. The flight attendant gave him a blanket just now, so that he won’t feel cold anymore,” Yoona replied.

“Oh, arasso,” the little girl nodded understandingly. Yoona felt relief as the little girl didn’t ask her further.

Not long after, an announcement being heard, informing that the flight will be landed at Charles de Gaulle Airport in about ten minutes time. Hani was mesmerized with the outside view as her eyes were still glued to the window. Yoona patted on Yuri’s head to wake him up as they need to fasten the seatbelt before the aircraft will touch down soon. Yuri immediately woke up, and did whatever he has been told by Yoona. Meanwhile, Yoona was helping Hani to fasten her seatbelt.

“You stay here with Hani. I will go and get our luggage first,” Yoona said to Yuri right after he took a seat at the waiting area. He just nodded and put his arm around Hani’s shoulder.

“Daddy feel warm,” Hani said.

“Yes, baby. Daddy is not feeling well again,” he replied.

“Daddy should eat medicine, so daddy will get better fast,” the little girl said.

“No need, Hani ya. Daddy just need Hani’s love. Come on, kiss daddy,” Yuri playfully said while leaned his face closer to his daughter’s. Hani just pecked on his cheek, causing his father smiled widely.

“Thank you, Hani seonsaengnim!,” he said. Hani just giggled on her father’s playful act.

“Daddy,” Hani called him.

“Yes, baby?,” Yuri replied.

“Why daddy sleep on Yoona imo’s shoulder?,” she innocently asked. Yuri’s eyes widened.

“Chincha? Daddy sleep on Yoona imo’s shoulder?,” he replied. Hani nodded. “Daddy didn’t realize that, baby. Did Yoona imo angry at daddy?,” he asked.

“Imo is not angry at daddy. Imo said daddy feel cold and still have a fever,” the little girl earnestly said.

“Chincha? Imo said like that?,” Yuri asked again. Hani just nodded in reply. “Thank God!,” he said. “Otherwise, she will kill me later,” he thought.

“Alright, let’s go!,” Yoona said while pushing the luggage cart. Yuri and Hani immediately got up from their seats, and walked together with the latter.

“Let me push that,” Yuri said as he tried to hold the cart’s handle, but then his hand was pushed by Yoona.

“You’re still not feeling well. Let me handle this,” she said in a stern voice.

“But, it’s heavy, Yoona,” Yuri replied.

“I’m used to work with heavy stuff, Yuri, and this is just a small matter,” she said. Yuri scratched his not-so-itchy head, and without wasting his time, he sneakily pecked on Yoona’s cheek, causing the latter stopped walking and her eyes widened in shock.

“Wh.. what..,” she stuttered as she lost for words. Yuri quicky holding the cart’s handle, and pushed it while walking fast, leaving the dumbfounded Yoona and Hani at the back.

“You.. you are dead, Kwon Yuri!,” she thought angrily.
