In The Eyes Of A Murderer
Description
"Jennie?"
Jennie stopped her actions as her hands started to tremble vigorously and her eyes darted to where the voice was coming from. “L...Lisa...” Copious tears streamed down Jennie’s cheeks, and she was seized with sudden, uncontrollable sobs. Jennie went towards Lisa, but Lisa took a step once she realized what Jennie had on her hands. Blood. A lot of blood. Lisa’s heart started hammering, and she stopped in her tracks. One wrong move and it’s over for her.
Jennie was taken aback by Lisa’s actions. She looked down to the ground. “What’s with that face?” Panic was written all over Lisa’s face, she didn’t know how to respond. She frantically tried to think of an answer to Jennie’s question. Run! Was the only thing that she could think of. Jennie took a glance at Lisa to study her facial expression. As if she could read her mind, she whispered desperately, “Please run before she gets you too.” All of a sudden, her expression changed. She raised a greasy eyebrow and scoffed, “You said that you trusted me, but your face says it all.”
Before Lisa could even adapt to Jennie’s sudden change, Lisa felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen. She looked down to find a knife pierced into her, a huge amount of blood gushing out. She stared at Jennie with tears welled up in her eyes, “I trust you... Not her.” Her face was chalk white, her forehead beaded with sweat. In a blink of an eye, she collapsed to the ground. The last thing she saw before she lost consciousness chilled her down to her spine; Jennie had a bashful smile on her face, which matched the satisfaction in her eyes.
Foreword
Clarification!
Millions of questions must be lingering in your mind.
“Have I not seen this title before?”
“Is this trying to plagiarize another person’s work?”
Now, I would like to make a statement before any misunderstandings happen. First off, I published the story “In The Eyes of A Muderer” in 2018. I decided to rewrite this entire story because the whole thing just didn't make any sense. I used to stay up till 4 in the morning to complete my story. Thoughts like, "Oh, my story is the ” used to linger my mind. I thought I was writing some dark, mysterious . However, I was wrong. My stories weren’t the , it was just plain . Reading my story again made me realise that many things didn't add up and it just seemed really pathetic and stupid. I hadn't considered that it should be quality over quantity. Thus, I wrote this story without thinking too much; I just wanted to get the story over with and provide new chapters for readers. “I was busy with ___” were all just dumb excuses. The main reason why I didn’t update often was because I didn’t know how to continue it. A lot of things in the previous chapter didn’t add up and wasn't planned thoroughly, therefore, I had absolutely no idea how to go on with it. And for that, I’m truly sorry. I’ll do my best. I hope you guys can understand. Thank you & I wish you guys Happy Chinese New Year!
