Heart Stop
Description
She fed him sweet nothings under hopelessly dark skies, and he- with eyes wide shut, didn't question a thing.
Foreword
Growing up broke in Seoul isn't at all what the television shows depict- in fact it's so much darker. Taemin knew this all too well, his desperation hit new peaks upon turning 13. From one foster home to the next- to almost crossing international seas to be sold for god knows what.
Personally the teen had thought it funny he still had the spirit to keep fighting, after all this time he wasn't broken, in fact some part of him was still hoping for your typical white picket fence and apple pie life.
"Taemin?" a voiced called out, pulling said boy out of his musings. "Jongin's sick." This was enough to have to him whip his head around to look at the younger girl.
"We need to get him someplace dry," he thought aloud, "Soojung?" he called out to the girl seconds later, "Think you can help me carry Jongin?"
"Of course," she nods forcing a smile though it's clear to both of them their smiles weren't reaching their eyes. In fact the inner turmoil was nearly driving them up the walls.
Soojung who normally so carefully hid her emotions, earning the title of ice princess was not able to hide her look of worry, Taemin could tell she was hesitant to ask the question on both their minds and perhaps a part of him was thankful for the shift in attitude.
Today was a day the oldest of of the three dearly wished his biggest worry was figuring out their next meal, rather than the thoughts that currently plagued him...
Jongin had to come through. The world couldn't possibly take one more thing from him- from them?
