Wrong Decisions
Our Second ChanceA/N: Please prepare yourselves. There is a ton of drama in this chapter. I even had to take multiple breaks while writing this. > <

Rio, Amu, Yuto, and Chinen sat around on the couches in their hotel suite. The telivision was but none of them payed attention to any of the news. It was already ten in the morning and two particular guys were still yet to return.
"I've really been thinking about what you two asked of us." Yuto suddenly began, capturing the attention of everyone in the room. "Are you sure you dont want to tell them?"
"We're sure." Rio answered, nodding in sync with Amu. Her eyes shifted down to her hands where her ring shined brightly amongst the morning light and she sighed. "Ryosuke and Daiki already has a lot on their plate. Right now isn't a good time to want to overwhelm them more."
Last night, Amu found herself locked in the sauna room. In a sudden state of panic, she grabbed her hair pin and started digging through the lock. It didn't take her long before she finally managed to get the door unlocked. Once the door flew open, she fell onto the floor in an effort to catch her breath.
Everything seemed to be constantly spinning around her and she kept falling with every couple of steps. As soon as she made it to the entrance of the onsen, she pulled on the door but frowned in dissapointment after realizing that it was also locked. She immediately started to bang on it and pleaded for help.
Chinen and Yuto left their rooms immediately to find the two girls after receiving Rio's concerning text. Chinen's first stop was the women's onsen and he was puzzled when he saw the scheduled maitenance notice. After hearing the pleas from a familiar voice, he ran to a nearby staff who told him that were no such thing as a scheduled maitenance and quickly unlocked the door for the two.
Meanwhile, Yuto wasted no time and headed straight outside to where Rio insisted she was. "Bridge" was the last word she was able to text before another gust of the frigid wind knocked her from her back. She fell onto her knees and her phone tumbled into the river in front of her. Not being able to climb back up the same steep slope, she began to slowly tread her way around the longer way.
Every step she took made her wince in pain. Just from a quick glance, Rio knew that it was nothing serious and that it was most likely just a pulled muscle. However, the cold bitter wind made every part of it a hundred times worse.
Thankfully, it only took Yuto less than 10 minutes to find her. After calling her name against the wind gust for what seemed like the hundredth time, he finally heard Rio yell back and that was when he caught a glimpse of her.
"What happened? You're limping!" Yuto stated as Rio gripped his arms tightly.
"Is Amu okay?" She asked immediately.
Yuto nodded and informed her that Chinen called him just now to let him know that he found Amu and when Rio heard the news, she felt the tremendous weight suddenly lift from her shoulders and sighed in complete relief. "Thank goodness!" She uttered.
"Here" He said, crouching on the floor with his back faced her. "I'll carry you back."
Chinen and Yuto spent the entire night making sure that the girls were taken care of. They switched out cold towels endlessly to tend to their fevers and even begged the kitchen staff to stay one extra hour to prepare a healthy meal for them. Amu suffered from a mild heat exhuastion while Rio suffered from an early stage of hypothermia.
Although caring for the girls was exhausting, nothing compared to frustrations they had against Ryosuke and Daiki. Yuto had texted them asking where they were and Ryosuke simply responded with "I'll be out for the night." while Daiki replied with "I'll be back tomorrow."
Their responses completely angered the two of them but Amu and Rio begged not to reveal anything that had happened. Not wanting to go against their wishes, Chinen and Yuto hesitantly respected their secrets. The next morning, Amu had completely recovered but Rio's ankle was still slightly swollen.
However, with just a pair of long socks and a little bit of effort, no one would notice her injury or even the slight limp she had whenever she walked. Rio glanced at the clock for perhaps the fortieth time that day. "Are they really not planning to come back today either?" She mumbled under her breath.
Before any one was able to respond, a sound suddenly chimed through door and two familiar guys finally walked in.
"You're back." Amu stood up, running from the couches. Although she was relieved to see that they were alright, her smile vanished almost instantly when she noticed their solemn expressions.
"Can we get a couple of minutes with them alone?" Daiki asked the youngest two guys. Chinen and Yuto glanced at the girls with a concerned gaze but after an affirmative nodd from Amu and Rio, they headed out into the halls and closed the door behind them, leaving the four in the room.
"Are you okay? Where were the both of you last night?" Rio asked immediately.
When they hesitated to respond, she raised an eyebrow in concern and began to approach her fiance. "Ryosuke?" She uttered, placing a hand on his upper arm.
"We're sorry." Ryosuke bowed. His sudden actions surprised Rio and she immediately retracked her hand. Amu's confused expression was also met by Daiki's regretful expression and he bowed as well. The two girls quickly exchanged worried gazes and pushed on for an answer.
"What's wrong? Why are both of you apologizing?" Amu asked, feeling panic rise from inside her chest. To both of the girls, this feeling was becoming horrendously familiar. Their hearts began to beat the same way they did three years ago, their minds begging for some certaincy.
"We thought a lot about what unfolded this past week and we want to make things right." Daiki began. "Amu-chan?" He uttered, his voice breaking when he called her name.
"I think it's best if we broke up."
Amu struggled to proccess his words. She opened to protest but couldn't find the right words to say- she was speechless.
"You two need to come up with a better joke." Rio protested. "Don't you think it's kind of insensitive to play us out the same way you did three years ago?"
"It's not a joke, Rio." Ryosuke replied . "I'm sorry- I shouldn't have proposed to you. I made a mistake."
"Did something happen yesterday? Is it something you can't tell us?" She pressed on. "The Yamada Ryosuke I knew would never say anything like this."
"Well, perhaps you didn't know him enough." He replied in cold tone.
Upon hearing those words, Rio slid the ring off her finger and raised her hand in position to throw it at him. However for some reason, she wasn't able to do it. In the next couple of seconds, she found herself desperately fighting back her tears and she lowered her hand before eventually dropping it to her side.
"Ryosuke- I hope my heart would be the last you will break." Rio uttered. She took a step closer to him and lifted his hand before placing the ring in it. She opened to ask one specific question but decided that it was best for her to keep it to herself. "This really isn't the end of us, right?" was what she wanted to ask but instead, she replaced it with something else.
"Will you two be staying here tonight?"
"We've already rented out an extra room in this hotel. You can still text me if anything happens." He answered but she shook her head.
"Don't worry, you definitely won't be receiving one from me anytime soon." Ri
