"If you could just sign here and also here you will officially become part of the school's faculty. Oh and that reminds me, we also need your personal information so it can be put into our school’s database by Friday."

Mr. Wu was discussing Woori's contract to her but she wasn't paying one mind to what was on that contract. The biggest issue on her mind was her application went to the wrong job. How stupid could she be to not make sure she submitted to the right one? Another bigger issue was all they knew was she is a teacher who needed a job and is willing to start today but one slight problem that was the cherry on top was she didn't know bull about teaching a class.

She should just confess now before she dug a deeper hole for herself. Despite the possibility of getting humiliated for being so incompetent she needed to get out of this mess. "Um Mr. Wu there’s something I need to say I-"

"Oh before we can finalize everything let me show you how much you get paid. Of course your health insurance will be covered, parking is free here, and we have complimentary lunches for our staff in the teacher's lounge."

Woori’s eyes just quickly glanced at the numbers before she did a double take and almost had to bite back another outburst. What in the hell was this paycheck? This was yearly?? Holy crap this could cover her rent for at least two years. Not to mention her food, clothing or even get her a nice vehicle instead of taking the bus all the time.

“So Ms. Kang what was it you wanted to say before I rudely cut you off?”

One part of her conscience was telling her to confess now while the other side was just so focused on the high cut salary. “I-I was just going to say how excited I am to start working here.” Yeah she knew this might bite her in the behind but she thought she could do this. Sure she was scamming the headmaster and the vice principal of a prestigious school but the high pay grade was just so tempting not to take it. Not to mention it'll save her from Hyori's wrath. So what the hell? She'll worry about the consequences later. What could go wrong she thought.

"Splendid! Now that everything is officially settled, I can't wait for you to meet the kids. Trust me you’ll love them Ms. Kang. Come I’ll give you a tour around the school."

"Oh Ok."

She quickly follows the headmaster passing a shocked Mr. Huang not assessing that just happened. What the hell was Mr. Wu thinking hiring this girl as class 1-13's teacher when they haven’t even gone through all their interviews yet? He did get suspicious when he studied the girl's expression of equal shock once she heard she would start as the new teacher but he wasn't the one who made the decision. He hoped this girl would last longer than Ms.Choi; anybody would actually last longer than Ms. Choi. However, hope was one thing but a handful of prayers that she survive was a better term for it.

Meanwhile on the tour, Woori's expression looked like a gaping codfish. Now that she was finally attentive, she realized why that salary was so high because this school was like living in three combined mansions.

How come she's never even heard of this school before? Maybe because she lives on the other side of the city that she doesn’t come to this side very often. Or maybe she hadn’t done prior research about the school she was getting interviewed at.

“And here we are classroom 1-13. Just so you know, everything you’ll need to know will be in this book right here." Mr. Wu just dumps a huge textbook into her arms which causes Woori to stumble a bit. What on earth was even in this book? The bible? "The class roster should be on your desk and whenever you think you need help with the class, call Mr. Huang. So are you ready to start your teacher journey with these angels Ms. Kang?”

“Uh…..well-” suddenly a loud sound of something breaking cut off her answer. Now that she heard it closely, she could hear a couple of children screaming and was that the sound of sadistic laughter too? Maybe they were watching a horror movie? Yeah she was trying really hard to have the benefit of the doubt before diving into deep regret.

The headmaster stands in front of the classroom door and looked nervous when he looked at Woori. “Right then, let’s go in and meet your class shall we?” as soon as he opens the door, a body tumbles out groaning and in pain. Woori’s face pales and she starts screaming bloody murder. Mr. Huang rushes over and helps the poor man up checking if he was ok.

“Oh Mr. Xi! I appreciate you substituting Class 1-13 for a bit. I hope they weren’t too much trouble for you?” Why was the headmaster acting like this was normal when they may have witnessed a couple kids murdering a teacher?

Mr. Xi slowly lifts his head up and his eyes met Woori's. He was handsome and she couldn’t help but blush the way he stared so intensely at her. It was like piercing her soul. “It’s no problem headmaster Wu. They were a delightful bunch of children to watch over.” he didn't looke like they were a bunch of delightful children to watch over.

“Um are you sure you’re ok?” Woori asked this time just in case this man wasn’t completely going insane from or something.

The handsome teacher instantly flashes her a heart stopping smile making her blush even more, "Yep! Thank you but I'm super. Sorry if I startled you like that. The kids were just playing a game with me that's all.” What kind of sick game was it to make him drop like a fly?

“Ah Mr. Xi let me introduce to you the new teacher for Class 1-13. This is Ms.Woori.” she immediately bows as Mr. Xi finally gets up to bow back.

“It's nice to meet you Ms. Kang. May I just say this class has such a bunch of delightful children.” Immediately blood trickles down Mr. Xi's forehead, scaring Woori and Mr. Huang.

“Oh my god you’re bleeding!” Woori exclaims.

Unlike everyone's reaction, Mr. Xi just touches the spot where his head was bleeding and studied the blood on his fingertip. “Oh I guess we were playing a little too rough hehe.” his light chuckles didn’t settle her uneasiness and unconsciously she slowly took one step back away from the classroom of terror.

“Alright, come on Luhan, I'll take you to the nurse’s office to get that disinfected.” Mr. Huang makes sure to put a hand on his back to lead him to the nurse’s office. “I’ll be right back.” he says to the headmaster.

“Ok feel better Mr. Xi.” While they left to the nurses, Woori was starting to freak out. All this time she was thinking she might get humiliated . Die by the hands of a bunch of kids.

“Well shall we go in?” Mr. Wu’s chirpiness didn’t easy away Woori’s uneasy feeling but before she could think about anything, Mr. Wu guides her inside.

The door opened and she was welcomed with the sight of a battlefield. Children were either screaming at each other, running around or toppling everything down in their path that caused even more destruction. The poor classroom looked almost unrecognizable to even resemble what a normal classroom should look like.

It was at that moment Kang Woori knew she ed up.

‘Damn applying to that cat cafe ain't sounding too bad right now….'

After Mr. Huang dropped Mr. Xi off to the nurse, he felt like heading to the teacher's lounge for a little break. He sits in one of the lounge chairs sipping his hot cup of coffee enjoying the peace and quiet when Mrs. Young and Mrs. Park walk in already hot on gossip. They sounded like a herd of crows from the amount of chatter they produced every day.

Usually their gossip was very loud so he couldn't help but listen in on the drama but other times it get annoying and boring. However, they were being unusual an talking about the new teacher for class 1-13, Kang Woori.

“Yah yah yah did you hear? They hired another teacher for that horrible classroom 1-13.”

Mrs. Park dutifully shakes her head thinking about that dreaded class. “I’m telling you, sooner or later those kids will bring down the school’s image. I mean I’ve heard so much about the horrible things they do to their teachers but I can’t imagine why their parents are teaching them to act this way. You know most kids' attitudes are mimicked by what they see at home."

'Not entirely true.' Mr. Huang said it more to himself and just continued sipping his coffee.

“You know while I was on the way back to my classroom, I caught a glimpse of the new teacher. Let me tell you, she's a real simpleton this one. I mean you should’ve seen the look on her face looked when Mr.Wu gave her a tour around the school.” Mr. Huang irked at the sound of Mrs. Young’s haggled laugh it made him stop drinking his coffee for a moment.

“Honestly, the headmaster must be so desperate to find anybody to take these problem children off of his hands for the school year.”

"If I was him I would've sent those brats to a boarding school immediately. Set their attitude straight you know?"

Mr. Huang couldn't help but roll his eyes. So typical of them to say things like that about the new teachers that get hired here. They’re always so hard on the newbies even he had his fair share of gossip going around because he was hired as the acting vice principal and class assistant. It wasn’t until he gave them all a piece of his mind that the school faculty got the message not to mess with him.

“You know I give it a week before she quits and then another poor er will have to come in and fend  themselves from those horrible monsters.”

“You never know from the way it sounds like she might fit right in with the little freaks.”

Mrs. Young and Mrs. Park’s snickers, made Mr. Huang throw the rest of his coffee away and leave the teacher’s lounge having heard enough of old lady gossip for today. He’ll admit he still felt a bit indifferent with  Kang Woori being instantly hired as the new teacher. Maybe it was just a gut feeling but could this woman be like the other previous teachers? His best guess was these kids will hate her too and torture her to the brink of sanity. He stops his train of thought when the sound of his watch reminded him that he needed to go check on Ms. Kang quickly before she realizes that they sent her to her doom.

(Meanwhile back in class 1-13)

She couldn’t believe it. Mr. Wu took one good look at the classroom and left her here like he was sending her off to war. What on earth was she supposed to do to get these kids under control? None of them seemed like they were going to stop and pay attention to her; she knew because she had been standing exactly in the middle of the class for the past thirty minutes.

What was she going to do? She needed to think and assess which child was the least lethal amongst the rest. However, all of them seemed equally dangerous. Especially that one little girl who was running with scissors and using it to chase after a boy who looked like he might pee his pants any moment. Wait is she smiling while chasing after the poor kid with a pair of sharp scissors? Wait! Kang Woori focus! She needed to stop spacing out and focus on the important mission. These kids have to stop what they were doing so they could stop trashing the place and the only way for her to do that was put her foot down and get serious.

“Alright that is enough! Everyone go to your desk and please stop trashing your classro-” in a matter of seconds her vision went black and all she was thinking was why her?

“Ms. Kang! Ms. Kang! Can you hear me? Ms. Kang!” Woori slowly wakes up and slightly hears a distinct voice calling her name. First it was like a quiet echo until it got louder and then her vision started to clear up. Her eyes wonder around her surroundings till she sees Mr. Huang sitting beside her looking mostly relieved that she wasn't dead.

“Ugh where am I?” she tries getting up but regretted it when her head started to pound.

“You're at the nurse's office." he informs her. "I was on my way back to go check up on you when I was completely mortified when I found you lying on the floor unconscious like that. I almost got scared that one of them might have actually killed you.”

“So I was knocked unconscious? Ugh I can feel my head splitting and is that a bump I’m feeling in the back of my head? Wait what did I get knocked out from?”

Mr. Huang instantly brings out the culprit. “This is what knocked you out.” he holds up a huge transformer bot that looked menac

Chapter 9: Hi I was on a break for a year and recently came back.. I caught up to the update and I really love this story.. I love emotional perspective and the depth you created.. I feel bad for this kids.. They are kids who are 6 years old.. They shouldn't have gone through so much that they grew up so much.. You can see the longing for his father's love in Taehyun when he saw Minseok with his son Young Chul.. The way Youngsoon think that's a normal behavior between a father and daughter is also worrisome.. Shiwoo may miss or long for his mother's love seeing how Woori defended him.. I hope Woori can help them to open up and recover.. She still don't know that this kids don't have their mothers.. Maybe know about Youngsoon now after reading the journal..

I hope you will continue this story bcz I will wait for it..

Alright but I hope u will update soon since its been almost two months since u last updated.
And I just reread T.P.H and I just realised that I have got a huge thing for Headmaster Wu and Criminal Junmyeon since in most stories Junmyeon is depicted as a rich or famous guy but almost never poor:)
