Ryosuke fiddled with the ‘patient call button’ for the nth time with an attempt to summon his personal doctor. He was grateful on how the nurses kept running to his rescue every time he needed assistance however, couldn’t help but feel irritated for not being able to get even a glimpse of Rio. Another thing that annoyed him is that a young doctor called Ishihara Ren has the leisure to spend time with her, while he is stuck in bed with his stupid leg splint.

He pressed the abused button once again, hoping that Rio will be the next one to heed his call.

It was as if he prayed for it, the maiden he asked for stepped inside his room, making the latter smile from ear to ear, “Finally”.

“Are you okay? The nurses told me you kept buzzing all morning. Sorry I was unable to say ‘hi’ earlier. We had an emergency in the Maternity department”, Rio excused. She knew that all nurses in the unit are currently fighting over who gets to answer Ryosuke’s call bells since they’re drawn to his appearance. A handsome gentleman asking for help, who can ever refuse?

“I’m not okay. It’s been awhile since I last saw you”, he replied and sounded abandoned. He knows very well that being a busy doctor, Rio cannot tend to his every need as much as he wants to. In fact, he’s annoyed at himself for feeling this way, but he just can’t help but feel lonely whenever the girl is not in sight.

After seeing his pout grow, Rio couldn’t help but giggle, “Do you even need my help? You’re doing well with the physios already. They said you can remove that splint in a couple days”, she teased but little did she know, Ryosuke is one step ahead of her.

“Well, Dai-chan and Amu called and they’re on their way here. I wanted to have a shower before they come. Maybe I can ask one of the cute nurses to give me one. Do you mind if another woman sees me —”

“NO! I’LL DO IT!”, Rio abruptly said. The thought of another lady showering Ryosuke suddenly made her feel uneasy, “I mean… Since I’m here, I’ll help you instead”, she continued, hoping to sound less distressed with Ryosuke’s idea.

The boy just chuckled on how cute she reacted and soon watched her guide him inside the shower room. He noticed how her cheeks suddenly turned bright red while assisting him through the narrow door of the toilet. And just like that, the boy enjoyed every bit of it, as if teasing Rio became his personal hobby.

“S-So… Uhm, can you take your own shirt off?”

“I can only lift one arm, can you help me?”, Ryosuke tried to push Rio to her limits as if enjoying her torture. Rio nodded once but you can sense that she’s having difficulty breathing. This prompted Ryosuke to further tease the latter.

Rio was successful in manoeuvring Ryosuke’s shirt from his arm sling and soon noticed his perfect torso. His skin is just so flawless, you can easily mistake him as a girl. It didn’t help when her eyes wandered down his chest towards his chiselled abs, making her lose all senses.

“Kami-sama, what did I do to deserve this mental torture?!”, she thought to herself. For her, being inside the shower room with Ryosuke is enough to make her crazy. She felt her heart racing and in a brink of having arrhythmias after seeing the boy attempting to remove his trousers.

“W-W-Wait! What are you doing”, she panicked and quickly turned around.

“What do you mean? I can’t shower with my trousers on, can I?”, Ryosuke gave off a victorious smirk, knowing that he was successful in making Rio fluster, “… and what’s the big deal? You’re my girlfriend after all”, he continued and leaned in closer to whisper on Rio’s ear. Somehow, he’s addicted on seeing his girlfriend’s clumsy mannerisms.

“Y-You’re strong enough to do that yourself… Here!”, without looking at him fully, Rio handed Ryosuke the ‘patient call button’, “Just press it when you’re finished. I’ll stay outside and wait”, she instructed and soon dashed outside the shower room with face as bright as a ripe tomato.

Rio took her time to get her breathing rate back to normal. She shook her head a few times with an attempt to shake off the sight of Ryosuke’s half body inside her head. She cursed at herself, being driven by her own emotions which she tried so hard to suppress.

A sudden sigh of relief escaped her lips when she heard the water coming from the shower hitting the porcelain tub inside the room. It was like all her energy drained down her system when she felt her bottom half collapse on Ryosuke’s bed while patiently waiting for him to call for assistance.

About twenty-five minutes had passed when Ryosuke’s buzzer beeped inside the shower room. Rio took this as a sign to help the boy out. She twisted the door open and partially covered her eyes to stop herself from seeing anything unnecessary. It was lucky that the shower room was misty and helped in fogging up her glasses.

“Am I that horrible to look at, Rio-chan?”, Ryosuke chuckled before feeling Rio tensely hold a part of his hip. She helped him get on with his crutches while slowly pulling him closer as soon as they reached the narrow door.

“L-Let’s just get you out of here”, feeling Ryosuke’s breath near her skin, Rio couldn’t help but mind her fast beating heart rate. She tried her best to hide her blushing cheeks from the boy and hoped that he won’t notice the sudden increase of her body temperature. This got the best of Rio as she transformed into her clumsy self. Yes, she does not only consider herself as unlucky… she’s also clumsy.

As she led the injured boy outside, Rio’s foot accidentally got caught on Ryosuke’s crutches, making him stumble on his feet. Everything just went blurry when Rio saw the room spin, and next thing she knew is that herself and Ryosuke were already falling!

“Rio! Watch out!”, Ryosuke shouted. He spun his body around and tried his best to protect Rio’s head from the fall.

“Itai”, Ryosuke grunted in agony after feeling a painful strike on his right knee cap. He stumbled and hit his leg on one of his crutches upon his fall while preventing the girl from getting hurt.

Rio, on the other hand just felt her head on Ryosuke’s chest, “Rio-chan, are you hurt?”, she heard the boy say. Rio wasn’t given the chance to process everything when she heard the door open, revealing two familiar figures.

“WHAT THE—? AMU-CHAN! CLOSE YOUR EYES!”, Daiki pushed Amu outside and covered her eyes after seeing Rio and Ryosuke on the floor like they’re doing something erm… RATED 18.

“W-WAIT! No no… it’s not what it looks like!”, Rio panicked and tried to straighten out the misunderstanding. She quickly stood up and helped Ryosuke back on his feet onto his bed. She suddenly felt stupid for giving much misfortune to her own patient.

“Is your leg okay? I feel like I’m making your injuries worse!”, Rio turned to Ryosuke and scuffed her hair. She wanted to hit herself for rubbing her ‘bad luck’ on the poor boy.

“Maa, I kinda like having my own clumsy doctor”, he teased and was successful in making the latter sigh in depression. She’s usually calm and well composed when it comes to her patients. However, when it is anything to do with Ryosuke, she becomes her usual clumsy and careless Yamada Rio.

“Mou, I don’t know what misfortune I’ll cause you next, so I better move away before I make you drop a leg or something”, Rio sighed for the nth time before heading to the door.

“I better go with her to see if she’s okay”, Amu found herself trailing the girl in white coat, leaving the two boys behind.
