Taehyung actually kept his promise and called the company in the morning regarding his day off and I couldn't be happier.
I needed it. We needed it.
The past week, the only way I can think of describing it, was dreadful, a nightmare. Life without Tae seems impossible now. I feel empty when he's not around. I know from tomorrow, he will be busy just like before and we won't be able to go on dates until his project is over.
But I am comforted with the fact that if Mom allows me to move in with him, at least I'd be able to see his face every morning before he goes to work and every night after he comes back from work.
To me and Tannie.
To Our Sweet Home.
A smile makes its way on my face when I see him struggling with choosing his outfit for today. I was sitting on the bed, groomed, and ready twenty minutes ago but my boyfriend apparently is having a costume crisis.
Meanwhile, I have settled for black knee-stripped jeans and a white oversized hoodie of Tae's with white Nike sneakers. I wanted to wear something comfortable and Tae thinks I am pretty anyway so why overdress?
Despite the wait, watching him getting topless and then sneaking yet another tee is entertaining. And I am not complaining.
But really, who would?
"Having fun, Are we?" He pouts, his eyes fixed on me through the mirror while he is checking himself out in his Black Tee.
"Quite a lot." I giggle.
"It would be nice if you could help me choose my outfit." He pouts, turning around to face me.
"Tae, I have told you million times, everything looks marvellous on you." I say frankly.
"Yeah but I don't want to look— just marvellous. I want to look extra extra extra marvellous." He complains, pouting slightly.
"Baby, you're not meeting my mom for the first time. You don't have to impress her, she's already impressed." I say, standing up from the bed and walking towards him.
I snatch the T-shirt he was grabbing tightly in his right hand that he was planning to try next, and place it on the top of a nearby table. I snake my arms around his neck and pull him closer.
"You're very very handsome. You shine so brightly that sometimes it's too blinding." I start in a low voice,
"You don't have to be anything that you're not. I love you and I don't give a damn about what people think of us or if people approve of us or not. You make me happy and I wish to bring the same happiness to you, if not more."
"You're the sole reason for my happiness, Sugar." He confesses in his deep voice, wrapping his arms around me, smiling fondly.
"Then you don't have to try this hard to impress anyone for me, baby. Let them accept who you are. And we are talking about Mom here. You know how fond she is of you." I said, a tug of a smile on my face as I said it.
"I know, but we are going to ask her if we can be in a live-in relationship; I don't want to look like someone who's not thoughtful and deserving while seeking permission for something this important. I don't want to seem like an incapable person who can't take good care of her daughter. " He tells, his eyes downcasted.
"Oh my god, Tae. You're overthinking." I almost panicked to see him this worried but I had to stay calm at moments like this, so I add, sulking a breath
"Don't worry, she will say yes." I cheer him up as his warm gaze fell on me.
"You think?" He asks slowly and I nod in response.
"Of course I am sure of it." I answer and he gives me a small smile.
"So— So would you mind picking an outfit for me? Because I can't—" He asks, which I would call a whisper.
"Of course, I'd love to." I cut in and immediately walk towards our shared closet. I looked around and decided immediately what he is going to wear. I rummaged through the bunch of clothes, to grab the outfit I had my eyes on. As I pulled them out, a smile made it's way on my face thinking how gorgeous he was going to look in this.
I handed the outfit to the boy who was waiting in our room, fiddling with his fingers in anticipation. He is still worried about the whole 'seeking permision' thing.
He glances at me as I amble towards him. He bounces on his legs immediately as his eyes fell on the outfit I was holding. Beaming a brightest smile, I hand it over to him. He inspects the outfit closely before nodding in acknowledgement.
Mumbling a small thank you and placing a small kiss on my cheek which made me giggle, he starts changing. I take my seat, one again on the bed, as I watch him change into the outfit I chose for him. A thin light brown sweat shirt paired with white Jeans.
And when I saw him in that outfit, my breath got hitched for a moment.
Boy did he look ethereal.
"What do you think?" He asks, checking himself out in the mirror before his eyes flickered towards me.
"You look delicious." I complimented, followed by a stifled giggle. He chuckles at my compliment and walks towards me.
"Do you want to eat this delicious delicacy, then?" He asks so ily that my knees felt weak. It's as though his nervous self disappeared all of the sudden, now being dominated by I-know-I-am-breathtaking self. And I shuddered because now was the time I had figured, to back down and stop teasing him otherwise I don't know what situation I might end up on. I gulped looking away, shaking my head slowly. He chuckles and kisses my cheek.
"Let's go, Princess." He says ily, exactly knowing how much that tone of his affects me. I started walking out of the door without even waiting for him. We hopped in the car and eventually decided to watch a movie since we never really went to theatres for movie dates.
We settled to watch an anime movie, I wanted to see from a long time. Thankfully, Tae likes to watch anime too. But i am aware that he would have accompanied me, even if he hadn't liked watching them.
Most of the time, I realized I ended up staring at his gorgeous face. I don't know if he wasn't aware of my eyes or he let me stare willingly, 'cause he didn't stop or tease me. I found his eyes falling on me too, for a split second but they would stick to the screen again. Turns out, the movie caught his attention and interest. And I was pleased as long as he wasn't bored.
Walking out of the movie, It was already late noon. He asked me if I was hungry and I bobbed my head as I wanted to grab coffee. At the mention of coffee, he made a face of digust but took me to Starbucks anyway. On the way, I got call from Khyati telling me she was out for shopping. I asked if she could join us and she gladly accepted. She joined us at the table, fifteen minutes later.
"Hello Love-birds!" Khyati greeted as soon as she sat across me.
"Hello, to be mom." Tae greeted back cutely and she giggled, shaking her head.
"How was the night?" She asked me but when I quirked my brow in question she tutted and added, "Did the deed?" She asks Tae this time. My eyes widened as I register her meaning and look at tae who was giggling, his cheeks as red as tomato.
"To your question, No. We haven't." Tae answers, still smiling eye to eye.
"Oh you guys are so slow and boring." Khyati states, scrunching her nose in disappointment.
"No. We are not." I retaliate, folding my hands across my chest.
"Really? Well, give me one reason to support your claim." She folds her arms too, smirking. My nostrils flare in little bit of anger. Tae places his hand on my shoulder to calm me down but I ignore him as I announce,
"Tae asked me to move in. With him." I said as clear as sky so she won't decipher otherwise, smirking evily "And I SAID YES." I flex proudly.
"Noo he didn't—" Khyati yelled in surprise, her hands on as if trying to process the information she just learnt.
"Yes, he certainly did." I winked at her b
