hyoshin and hyejoo knew that the first group they'd ever launch would be a boy group. boy groups had a bigger chance at grabbing fans' attention and the money that would bring.
when it came to concepts, it was a bit harder. they couldn't exactly go with an opposite concept to yong as their solo artist was a bit of a chameleon when it came concepts. the two looked at all the other debuting groups, checking out concepts and came with a solution of going for something more youthful. most groups were going with darker plots, hip hop and the like. going youthful was something new and with the ages of their current trainee pool, it worked hand-in-hand.
a.den wasn't a company that held a constant group of trainees. their first initial trainees didn't come until around the end of 2019, which included the one and only moon yong, right after produce x 101.
between the end of 2019 and the end of 2022, a.den slowly came together with their plans of their first boy group that would be duggeun duggeun, or DGDG for short.

moon song has a lot to live up to since he's the younger brother of a.den's moon yong. though it looks like talent doesn't fall far from the tree as song has that in spades.
besides his talent in dancing and singing, song is the life of the party. sassy and always has something witty to say, he keeps everyone on their toes.
while he may not be the maknae of the group, he's certainly used to being the baby. since he was the youngest of the family, he was doted on and could no wrong. when yong ran away to seoul, things changed. song was forced to feel the wrath of their parents and forced onto a career track he held no passion for. he wanted to return to the days where he could dance with his brother with no worry.
not wanting to be what their parents wanted, he convinced his sister to help him find his brother. and he knew exactly where he went. with no heistation, moon song auditioned to a.den the moment he saw the announcement.
he was finally reunited his brother and nothing was going to get in his way!
