"Okay everyone let's take a break" Greg oppa called out pausing the music and taking his water bottle.

I was so tried, I had been studying so much for my exams and still been coming for all my lessons at SM. But it was worth it, this ws my dream after all.

"Park Ahmi?" someone called out my name and I looked up from where I was streching on the floor. I could feel all the other trainees staring at me. It was already 11pm, why would someone from the SM staff be looking for me.

"Yes!" I quickly answered and stood up bowing towards the man. I could hear the wildfire whispers set off.

"Ahh, very good! It's okay if I steal her for the rest of the class, right Greg-shi?" The man smiled at my dance teacher and gestured me to gather my things and go with him.

"No worries, Jongbae-shi!" Greg oppa smiled and waved me goodbye as i left the dance studio.

I followed the man to elevator and we went to the 5th floor, where I knew all the meetings were held.

"Exscuse for asking, but" I started in shy manner "why am I here?"

"Ahhh, I'm so sorry! My name is Lee Jongbae, I'm a manager here at SM?" He smiled.

"A manager?" I asked "What do you want with me?"

"I heard you were straight forward" he laughed at me and got out of the elevator.

We walked down the hall and then he opened a door to meeting room and told me to go inside. The room was quiet big with a big table and many chairs and a big screen covering a whole wall at the other end of the table. I was in shock, on the screen was what I assumed to be my SM trainee profile. And sitting at the end of the table was my manager, Kim Hyungshik, or the manager that was in charge or the group of trainees I belonged to. Then there was a man I did not know the name of but i knew he was the head of the administraion department and finally there was Lee Sooman himself.

"Please do sit down" Lee Sooman told me and did as I was told. "you must be wondering why you are here?"

"Yes sir" I answered in polite yet calm manner.

"Hyungshik-shi tells me you are a very well organized trainee" he started "That you are the head of your dorm and keep a good eye on your room mates."

"Yes sir, I believe that is true" I smiled, still not really understanding where this was leading.

"Let me introduce myself, Kwon Hanbin, head of administration" the man sitting closest to me smiled and I greated him wiht a bow. "Let's take a look on your file! You have been with us for over a year now, you are specifically focusing on rapping, dance and acting, you speak Korean, Chinese and English?"

"Yes, my father is Korean and I was born here, but we moved to Shanghai when I was 4 and then Hongkong when I was 10. And I lived with my aunt in Seatttle for two years in High School" I answered.

"Very good!" Lee Sooman nodded towards me.

"You are 171 cm tall, have lost 8kg since you started training here, curently 54 kg" Kwon Hanbin continued and I felt slightly embarrassed. "you are also naturally good with the camera and have been given MC training!"

Now I just nodded and avoided everyones eyes.

"It is also correct that you are currently a Management student?"

"Yes, I am in my last year of university" you stated in a 'thank god' tone and everyone in the room laughed.

"Let's get right to the point, the man that I sent to get you is one of EXO's managers." Lee Sooman said sitting up in his chair. "As you might know, EXO is set to make their comeback soon and we have run into some problems with the planning"

"I'm sorry, but what does that have to do with me?"

"We need you be an assistant manager like Jongbae-shi!" he gave me a bright smile and my eyes must have seemed like they where about to fall out.

"But.. What? I.. I'm a trainee?" I answered with my mouth gaping like a fish.

"This would be like training, you would learn how it really is for a group to prepare and promote, you will still be training as much as possible with the EXO members, EXO M to be specific and consider this leadership training! It's will be a great advantage for you chanses of debuting." he stated and all the others agreed. "Also we like to keep it in the family and when we have someone like you, that already have management training ofcourse we want to take advantage this opportunity!"

"You mean since you wont have to pay me!" I chuckled and then realized what I had just blurted out and held hand infront of my mouth. "No I didn't mean it like that!"

"She really is straight forward!" Lee Sooman looked very amused. "Let's make a deal, you wont get a paycheck like the other managers, but everything will be payed for and you will have a weekly allowence like the EXO members get. Plus we will give you a contract, sounds good?"

"You're gonna sign me? I mean a real contract to debut?" I could feel my heart speed up and my hands shake.

"Yes, as soon as EXO's three months of promoting is done and you have forfilled your duties you will be place in a project group when you return"

This was it, that life changing decision that would make my dream come true. So I agreed, I signed a contract and I'm now officially EXO M's asisstant manager... So why does it feel like I just sold my soul?
