Yellow Balloon
Description
It was chained to a pure white chain and it was being pushed around by the playful wind but still stayed strong in its positive yellow shell. My yellow balloon.
Foreword
I ran out of the warm light of my house and into the cold darkness of the night. As I ran into the darkness I couldn't see anything but black. I didn’t know where to go or what to do, all I knew was I wanted to get away from them. Then I heard the high pitched screaming behind me. So I quickly turned around and saw her. Her face was blurred from the forested window of the glowing house.
“Jonghyun please!” She begged “don’t leave me.” Her once beautiful face was now being ruined by black tears that seemed to be carving into her flesh like drops of acid running down wood.
“Jonghyun you don’t have to leave.” She started clawing at the glass like a needy child trying to break through to their mother. “You can’t leave me alone with them.”
I wanted to say how sorry I was for leaving her, I wanted to run up to the window and tell her I will still keep in touch, but when I tried to move I couldn’t. I was so far into the darkness that it started to swallow me up. I felt like I was being consumed by heavy quicksand pulling me under faster as I struggled to get out. I tried to call out to her but it started to fill my mouth making me choke for air.
