Present: Asking for Answers
A Hazy Past, A Horrid Present but A Hopeful FutureDecember 19, 2013
[96 hours since missing]
I rubbed my eyes as I sat up on the unfamiliar bed. I looked around to realize that I wasn't in my room, a long sigh was released when I remembered my pain, my sorrow, the cause of the uncontrollable tears that ran down my cheeks as I tried to sleep. I got up and stood in front of a mirror.
I splashed a handful of cold water, enjoying the refreshing feeling I recieved with just water. I let the cold water sink into my face as I stared at the me now. Eyes red, pale face, tired expression, all of my emotions were revealed with one cool splash of water.
*knock knock*
"Mirae-yah, you awake?" a voice asked and I turned towards the door to see the kind doctor staring at me as she entered the room cautiously
I grabbed the towel she handed me and I wiped the water. I gave her a weak smile in thanks, whilst she sat on the couch staring at me
"Did you sleep okay?" she asked me as I felt her eyebrows furrow, I shifted uncomfortably noticing that she was trying to evaluate my expression.
"You cried," she stated rather than questioned. I looked to the side as I didn't know what to answer. I inwardly sighed and turned towards the doctor with tears threatening to caress my face once again.
"I need answers," I managed to say with the remaining courage I had left
She stood up, opened the door and waited for me to follow her. I nodded my head and followed after her knowingly, realizing that she was leading me back into the interrogation room.
I sat back down in the cold metal chair as I waited for Yeonhee unnie to grab the detectives. Within few minutes, the room got louder as all 5 tired looking detectives entered the room. I stood up abruptly upon their arrive.
"Did you need something?" Jaejoong asked with another round of his sassiness apparent in his tone. Yunho smacked across the head, earning a hiss from the eldest
"I apologize, none of us got any sleep last night so we are a tad cranky," Yunho apologized on behalf. I shook my head in understanding, rejecting his apology
"What did you need?" he asked, except with a softer and calmer tone than the previous
"I want answers, no, I need answers," I rephrased as I stared at each one of their faces, showing them my determination of wanting to know the answer
"Why am I here? Who were thos people I naturally called friend? Who.Who is this Kai? Why? Why did my whole body feel like it was paralyzed once I saw him?" I asked, bombarding them with questions, as my sensitive emotions got to the best of me, as once again, tea
