Akuri: "Nine days until I'm toast." -I open my eyes- 

(I knew it, yesterday was no dream. I'm in the 'Demon House'...Anyway, when did I make it to bed?)

Akuri: "Goodmorning everyone! Breakfast is ready!"

Yuto: " Hey, Akuri made breakfast for us!"

Yabu: "I love the smell of rice and miso soup in the morning!"   

Akuri: "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!"

Ryutaro: "...Somebody has plenty of engery this morning."

Akuri: "Eek!" (That scared me...I thought a ghost was lurking around over there. But, it was just...a demon, lurking.)

Ryosuke: "What's this? You made breakfast, too?"

Akuri: "I did!"

Ryosuke: "I don't remembering issuing a command for this."

Akuri: "...I was hungry. So I thought, while I was at it..."

Ryosuke: "Hmm"

Akuri: "Do you not want any, Ryosuke?"

Ryosuke: "I didn't say I wouldn't eat it."

(So he'll have some then..)

Yuya: "You're pretty handy, aren't you? You wanna be my girl?"

-Yuya grips my shoulders tightly-

Ryosuke: "Don't be an idiot, Yuya."

Yuya: "Yes, yes. The prince must have order in his house."

-Ryosuke throws a steely look at him-

Ryosuke: "This human's toast in 9 days. There's no need to get overly involved."

Akuri: "..." (He didn't have to put it in that way...Ryosuke really is a cold person, isn't he?)

Ryosuke: "Great. Thanks to you, I have to head to work 30 mins early. Do you always leave for work this early?"

Akuri: "...I'd thought I settle some personl matters. Seeing as I'll disappear from this world in 9 days."

Ryosuke: "..."

(Ryosuke is not 'toasting' me because he wants to. I understand it's a predetermined state, but still...)

Ryosuke: "Yeah, and those are days that I gave you. Consider yourself lucky."

(Cold as always. Ryosuke doesn't care a bit about what happens to me...) 

Aly: "Akuri!"

Akuri: "Aly!"

Aly: "How was your date yesterday? Ryosuke?!"

Ryosuke: "..."

Akuri: "..."

(Ah-ha...so everyone thinks we were on a date.)

Ryosuke: "Incredible. I had the time of my life."

Aly: "...!?"

-Ryosuke puts his arm around my waist-

Ryosuke: "Nakajima gets real fired up at night."

Akuri: "What are you saying!?"

Aly: "Wow! Oh my god! You two have gone that far already?"

Akuri: "Ahahahaha..."

Aly: "Hahahaha! Well, don't let me get between you two. Hope you're happy together!"

-And with that Aly ran off-

Akuri: "Would you stop lying about me, please?"

Ryosuke" "Well something got fired up, at least."

Akuri: "What?"

Ryosuke: "Your beat-up apartment, that it. It went up in flames."

Akuri: "..." (What the heck is his problem?! It's not like I'm over that already. This is kind of irritating...!)

Ryosuke: "Hey, wait a sec."

Akuri: "..."

-shaking free from Ryosuke's grasp. I speed-walked away-

Ryosuke: "Stop!"

-Ryosuke grabs my arm from behind-

Ryosuke: "What did I say! Absolute obediance to my--"

Akuri: "Let go of me!"

Ryosuke: "What, are you crying?"

(I sure feel like it, but I can't let him see me cry. Not now...)

Akuri: "I'm not crying! I'm angry!"

-I glared at Ryosuke sharply-

Akuri: "You might see this as a little more than a job...but this is my life we're talking about!"

Ryosuke: "..."

Akuri: "Think about the family, the friends I'm leaving behind. I can't just forget about them! How could I?"

Ryosuke: "..."

(I wonder if I said too much...)

-It's lunchtime-

Aly: "Sorry Akuri! I'd love to go to lunch with you, but I'm running an errand for someone!"

Akuri: "It's okay. I understand"

Akuri: "I think I'll economize a bit and buy lunch at a convenience store..." (Ah, right. Since I'll be gone in 9 days. I don't really need to save money, but it would be nice to have some savings to leave for my new niece.)

Akuri: "?" (Is that Ryosuke over there?)

-he's standing alone by an ashtray near the entrance smoking a cigarette-

Ryosuke: "...I'm sorry. Yeah it's not working..."

Akuri: "Who are you apologizing to? Me, perhaps?"

Ryosuke: "Shoot!"

Akuri: "Hm, was it right?"

Ryosuke: "Hey, shut up! You've got nothing to do with this!"

Akuri: "You're right! Absolutely nothing! You're a demon and I'm a human!"

Ryosuke: "..."

Akuri: "Demons and humans are entirely different races! I can't possibly imagine what it's like to be the prince of demons, but- Mmph!"

-Ryosuke covers my mouth with his hand-

Ryosuke: "Quit spouting out about demons! This is NOT the place for that!"

Akuri: "I'll bet you'd be in trouble if people knew you were a demon."

Ryosuke: "..."

Akuri: "Who'd have thought there was a demon on the payroll? Imagine what HR would think!"

Ryosuke: "Are you trying to threaten me?"

Akuri: "Yes!"

-Ryosuke looks at me carefully-

Ryosuke: "...You're going to be a real pain, aren't you?"

Akuri: "It's a good chance for you to learn something about humans!"

Ryosuke: "Not that I want to, nor need to."

Akuri: "...that's cold."

Ryosuke: "What do you want anyway?"

Akuri: "Buy me lunch!"

Ryosuke: "Lunch?"

Akuri: "I've always wanted to try the lunch menu here! Two thousand yen's a bit harsh for a poor woman like me, you know?"

Ryosuke: "How much do you plan to eat it? It's only afternoon."

Akuri: "Well, sorry. I'm such a pig!"

Ryosuke: "How is it...that you have this much energy?"

Akuri: "How much time left for me? Now would be a good time to enjoy, right?"

Ryosuke: "Hmm...you have a strong will."

-Ryosuke smiles wryly and lights up a cigarette-

Ryosuke: "..."

(That smile was kinda cute, maybe.)

Ryosuke: "You know, you're the first woman who's ever threatened or even scolded me?"

Akuri: "There's never been a time where a woman was angry at you?"

Ryosuke: "Nope. Never."

Akuri: "How it that possible? You look like you should be popular with women."

Ryosuke: "Not true at all. They all follow strict formalities...seeing as I'm a prince."

Akuri: "..."

Ryosuke: "And those that do approach me are only interested in becoming the queen."

Akuri: "hmm"

Ryosuke: "What?"

Akuri: "Sounds like you might just be too suspicious."

Ryosuke: "Huh?"

Akuri: "Haven't you consiered how attractive you are? You've got great looks, you're itelligent, and you can even cook."

Ryosuke: "..."

Akuri: "Well I guess there might be a problem with your personality."

Ryosuke: "Say another word about me and I swear I will-"

Both: "...Turn you into toast right now!"

Ryosuke: "If you understand that then we don't need to talk."

(And here I thought he was opening up to me a little...)

Ryosuke: "You go back first."

Akuri: "Where are you going Ryosuke?"

Ryosuke: "I'm out of cigarettes. I'm headed to a convenience store."

Akuri: "Times are changing, you know? Why not stop smoking?"

Ryosuke: "Shut up. Since when do demons take orders from humans?"

-Ryosuke swiftly brings our faces closer-

Ryosuke: "Did I not say I require absolute obediance from you?"

(His face is so close!)

Akuri: "...F-Five hundred yen!"

-Just then a loud voice boomed across the park cruelly cutting off our connectins-

Akuri: "I'll go buy your cigarettes!"

Ryosuke: "I wasn't really ordering you to."

Akuri: "Consider it a reflection of our positions at work! What brand?"

Ryosuke: "...Mild Seven Lights."

Akuri: "You're kind of a heavy smoker, Ryosuke." (Smoke that much and it'll shorten your life span you know! Not that I'm really in a postion to worry about somebody else's life span. Speaking of which, do demons even have life spans?" 

-I hear people around me murmuring-

Passerby: "Hey do you think that guy is a model? Look at that chiseled beautiful form! Wonder where he's from?"

(He really is an all-around good-looking guy...)

Akuri: "?" (Wait, is he looking over at me?)

???: "..."

(Okay he's definetely looking over at me...)

???: "Is that a toastee I smell?"

(He's coming over here!)

Ryosuke: "Nakajima!"

Akuri:"?!"

-Ryosuke drags me into the shadow between two buildings-

Akuri: "Ryosuke!?"

Ryosuke: "Ssh!"

Akuri: "?!"

-he has his arms wrapped around me tightly-

Akuri: "Wha--!"

Ryosuke: "Keep quiet...I'm trying to mask your prescence!"

Akuri: "Prescence?!"

Ryosuke: "If an angel finds you now, you'll be toast on the spot."\

Akuri: "A-an angel?! Then you mean he was-"

Ryosuke: "Yes! Now keep quiet!"

-he's holding me tighter & tighter- 

Ryosuke: "It will be bad news if he finds you."

(Of course if they find out the demon prince is hiding me...)

Ryosuke: "Do you want to see your sister deliver or not?!"

Akuri: "..." (Is Ryosuke...thinking about me? Even if just a little..? What's going on? I feel faint all of a sudden.)

Akuri: "Um, my head feels kind of dizzy..." (Is it because Ryosuke is holding me so tightly?)

Akuri: "I um, not really used to this-"

Ryosuke: "No that's not it."

Akuri: "What?"

Ryosuke: "I'm absorbing some of your life force to make you harder to detect."

Akuri: "My life force?" -but then my vision darkens and-

Ryosuke: "Hey! Nakajima!"

-my eyes open- (Where is this? The infirmary at work?)

Ryosuke: "I reported to the manager that you collapsed from anemia. I let my guard down. I'm not letting you out of my sight from now on."

Akuri: "Um, Ryosuke? Did you carry me to this bed?"

Ryosuke: "Who else would it been?"

Akuri: "Did you also...carry me to bed yesterday?"

Ryosuke: "...so you were awake."

-Ryosuke turns his head away from me-

(is he embarrassed?)

Akuri: "So who was that man from-"

Ryosuke: "He's an angel called Keito. With one hell of a nose. He can smell people who are schedule to be toast and he was closing in on you." 

Akuri: "You also said something about life force..."

Ryosuke: "I have the ability to control human life force as I see fit."

(I collapsed when Ryosuke absorbed my life force...)

Ryosuke: "I gave you back your life force. Just so you know."

Akuri: "Um...so that means you can give life force to people?"

Ryosuke: "Yes,that's right."

Akuri: "..."

Ryosuke: "Now do you understand? Demons and humans live in entirely different worlds."

Akuri: "That's amazing! You're just like a superhero!"

Ryosuke: "What...?"

Akuri: "A superhero! You could save people with that power!"

Ryosuke: "...Yeah thanks, but that would kind of get in the way of my work."

-Ryosuke eyes me with his wry smile-

Ryosuke: "People from the human realm must call you strange."

Akuri: "Nope I am very average. Very standard human."

Ryosuke: "You lie."

Akuri: "What makes you say that?"

Ryosuke: "..."

Akuri: "C'mon! Why did you say that?"

Ryosuke: "Enough!"

-Ryosuke goes quiet for a time then starts muttering-

Ryosuke: "...It's because I feel like you're different from other humans."

Akuri: "Different from other humans? Does that mean I'm special some- owowow!"

-Ryosuke starts pinching my cheeks all of a sudden-

Ryosuke: "Get a grip, woman."

Akuri: "It was a joke, okay?"

Ryosuke: "A mere human ridiculing a demon.."

Akuri: "I think you should stop discriminating against humans like that."

Ryosuke: "I said enough already. I told you I require-"

Akuri: "Absolute obediance."

Ryosuke: "Right. So massage my shoulders."

Akuri: "What? I just recovered from-"

Ryosuke: "I gave you back your life force so you've made a full recovery."

(he's right. I feel completely fine now...)

Akuri: "Okay, understood!" -stretching my arms I began to massage Ryosuke's shoulders- (And what broad shoulders they are..thinking about it makes my heart skip a beat.)

Ryosuke: "I bet you don't have a lot of dating experience."

Akuri: "Wha- Why do you say that?"

Ryosuke: "Earlier you were saying you weren't used to this."

Akuri: ".."

Ryosuke: "You mean to say you're so unpopular, nobody's ever hugged you?"

Akuri: "Forget about that!" -I bring a fist down on Ryosuke's back with a thump-

Ryosuke: "Ow! Just because you don't have luck with men doesn't mean you can take it out on me."

Akuri: "I'm not taking anything out on you!" (Why does this guy need to be so blunt?)

Akuri: "...Take this!"

-I tickle Ryosuke's neck with boths hands-

Ryosuke: "you idiot. Knock it off!"

Akuri: "I will knock nothing off!"

Ryosuke: "No really...please stop..."

Akuri: "Wait, don't tell me...are you weak to tickling, Ryosuke?"

Ryosuke: "..."

Akuri: "Good to know. I didn't think the great Ryosuke had any weak points!"

Ryosuke: "Akuri Nakajima."

-Ryosuke firmly grasps my wirst-

Ryosuke: "Tell any of the others and I will drain ALL of your life force."

Akuri: "I wouldn't. I won't tell a soul!"

Ryosuke: "...tch"

Akuri: "What?"

Ryosuke: "You HAVE to be abnormal even for the human realm."

-Ryosuke slaps a pain on his forehead-

Ryosuke: "C'mon we are going."

(Cold-headed and arrogant, but has a cute smile and is weak to tickling. I feel like I've seen a rare side of Ryosuke..)
