The English Tutor

Description

Vivian is a new exchange student at Seoul Arts High School. The last time she was in Seoul, she was a little girl. Now that her parents have forced her to transfer to a high school in Seoul, she has to start all over. Knowing nobody else in Korea except for her host family, Vivian has to find her own way. On her first day of school, she meets Kai. A kingka of Seoul Arts High School, Kai is popular and cold. Vivian doesn't like Kai at all and pays no attention to him if she doesn't have to... But what happens when her teacher decides to make Vivian tutor Kai in English?

"But mom! You can't!" Vivian protested as her tears fell.


"No, Vivian. You're going and that is final."

"WHY? What did I do to you guys that made you so mad that you decided to do this? all of my friends are here, all my favorite places are here... MY LIFE IS HERE! I don't know anything about Korea!!"

"I'm not going to argue with you Vivian. You're going. I would suggest you pack your things, your flight leaves at 10."

"Dad... please?? Why do I have to go to Korea? if you guys really loved me you'd let me stay here... You're not going to miss me at all are you?"

"THAT'S ENOUGH VIVIAN. GO PACK YOUR THINGS. NOW." Vivian's mother Yeon Su screams, having reached her limit.

"Fine... Why are you guys so mean? first you send me away then you yell at me... " Vivian sniffles as she stomps up the stairs to her room and slams the door, making sure that her parents could hear it.

"Don't be too hard on her, Yeon Su... This is going to be her first time out of the country by herself and she doesn't know what to expect..." Vivian's father, Hyun Woo, says to Yeon Su as he rubs soothing circles into her back. "She'll be fine in Korea."
