Inkblots
Description
Dear Min Seulyoung
Never forget me. If there's one thing I couldn't stand, it's not hellfire, or gunfire. It's you forgetting what we had.
I loved you, I still love you, I will always love you
Park Chanyeol
The year is 2023, war has broken out between North Korea and South Korea. Every male over 18 and under 40 is drafted. Park Chanyeol, a free-spirited photographer, is amongst them, having to leave his girlfriend and son behind. Inkblots depicts a series of letters from the front. Park Chanyeol, having been living through hell for the last couple of months, seeks comfort. He begins to relive his life through the form of writing. And to whom would he send that which he writes other than the woman who's name never leaves his lips? Met with certain difficulties at times, he never stops writing. Not when his pencil is down to the last shaving, and not when his pen is out of ink. He finds a way, and that is true love. So what does it mean when the letters stop coming?
Foreword
As opposed to my previous fics (which you may have noticed have disappeared), this story is actually finished. I have all the chapters and everything. That being said, this will be updated monthly, not from my laziness, but for the sake of the realism of the plot.
The format will be as follows: Every month I will upload two chapters; one from Act I and one from Act II. Act I is Chanyeol writing about past happenings. Act II is Chanyeol writing about the warfront.
Please enjoy! Any feedback is always welcome, I would like to hear from anyone who sets aside valuable time that could've been spent doing something else yet instead they used it to read the words I, a stranger to most, have strung together.
Thank you, once again, for reading this!
