She knew his name.
She had heard it being whispered about so many times that his name had been engraved into her mind.
There were so many stories about him; that he had beaten a man almost to the point of death with his own fists. That he was a part of an illegal underground business operating in the city. That he only cared for drinking until the brink of unconsciousness and sleeping with all the women he could.
She had heard that he was dangerous.
She was told to never cross his path and to never talk to him.
But on that crisp, breezy night, as she waited for the bus, she could feel the eyes of a man burning through her. A shiver went down her spine as she felt his eyes undressing her as each moment passed. She noticed that the stranger seemed to be scooting closer, inch by inch, a chilling grin painted on his lips. As he inched closer, she moved further. When she had reached the end of the bench, she only had two choices: simply stay calm and wait or get up and run.
Her heart began to beat faster as she saw him reach for something from the corner of her eye.
Her mind had made the decision to run, yet her body was unresponsive, staying frozen in her spot.
"Hey there, little lad---"
"There you are! I told you I was going to come get you, why are you taking the bus? It's cold out, let's get you somewhere warm." Her body was suddenly jerked forward onto her feet. The only thing she could see in front of her was the wool of a man's sweater as his arm wrapped around her.
Again, her body seemed to freeze in its spot.
"M-Minho hyung! I-I wasn't doing anything, I swear. I was just trying to make conversation."
It was Song Minho; it was the man that everyone had warned her about.
"Conversation's over. Get out of here." She heard the man get up and scurry away into the night.
She didn't know why, but her body didn't move from his embrace for a moment.
They had told her so many stories.
They had said he was so cold; but then, why did she feel such warmth?
