During the times of empires, dynasties and kingdoms, the Korean peninsula was known to be two different kingdoms with two different beliefs and lifestyles. The Northern Kingdom of  Koryo had land that was difficult to till and had been in state of poverty for so long. The King and Queen of Koryo was a humble pair yet they were not given offspring and heirs. They resorted to finding heirs of their own, through the search they had where every eligible male children were scouted. In the end, they chose a fragile looking three year kid named Jinki.

“From now on, you will be Prince Onew of Koryo.” The queen Ryeowook uttered and took the three year old into her arms.

Yet they did not know that Onew would bring in another blessing to the kingdom, because finally, Queen Ryeowook and King Henry had bore a daughter of their own and they named her Taemin.

The Southern Kingdom of Yurea was blessed with fruitful land and artistic people. They were given rich lands with mines that have gold and jewels that decorated each house and poverty was never an issue. The fruits of their labor were elaborate and the people regarded themselves highly. The King of Yurea is a a grand but humble, King Siwon was a just man, his wife was a picture of grandeur, Queen Heechul  a pretty face with an evil tongue. But she has a soft spot for her neighboring kingdom, King Henry was her favorite among all Kings they know and she knew how lovely Queen Ryeowook was and she constantly cooks for her when she visited the humble kingdom

The King and Queen of Yurea had two sons named Sunggyu and Myungsoo, the princes were both the good looking yet were different in attitude. Sunggyu was soft looking, tiny eyes gave him the loveable vibe yet he was strict and he scowled at the things he hated. Myungsoo was referred to as the Ice prince for his cold stare yet he was a softy. 

“Sunggyu.” Siwon addressed his first born during dinner and the boy looked at his father. “We have decided to marry you off to the Prince of Koryo.” He said and the spoon Sunggyu was holding slipped from his hand and fell onto the table with a loud clunk.
