My hands shake as they hand me the mic. My breath is shallow and my heart pounds loudly against my ribs. This is the first time I'm performing this song, and also my first crack at songwriting. I haven't been this nervous since my debut.

It’s been a while since I felt the stage lifting me up to the cheering audience. I subconsciously smile with my head still slightly bowed down and the microphone clamped in between my hands. I take a deep breath in, calming my nerves.

The dim screams of the crowd feels nostalgic, and I bite my lip. Slowly, I feel tears welling up.

Now's not the time to think about that.

The blinding spotlights finally hit me and the cheering grows louder.

When the soft piano melody sounds, I bring the microphone to my lips and everyone slowly goes quiet. I draw a breath and close my eyes.

I saw your trembling lips for the first time
You try and you try but hesitate to say something
Just like the lyrics from a song- sad predictions come true

You already left me, your heart has left me
Even your body has left me as well

It's not even the chorus, yet I already feel tears threatening to fall. I try to blink them away and focus on my singing.

Please don't say those words tonight

I'm so hurt, my heart hurts- tears are rising
We can't say goodbye yet- don't open those lips any wider

My lips start to quiver and my voice becomes unstable. Tears are already rolling down my cheeks and I hold onto the microphone tighter.

Somewhere in my heart I still hope for us to be together again.
