The woman in black looked over the crest of the hill as she scaled her way up. Upon viewing what was on the other side, she smirked.

Yes, and it's only to attract the mortals, you know that. A voice responded in her head.

The telepathic signals made her head dizzy, but all other means of communication were too risky. This process had to be kept secret, or the plan would fail, and the elders would be furious. She looked down at the meadow before her, and sneered. The one way to get this many mortals in one place was the ultimate sign of so called "fun": cheap entertainment and utter junk being rewarded to those who completed simple tasks, a fair. She swooped down the hill and strode into the mob of happy families. Soon, their smiles would fade.
