Orientation
Battle Of The HottestsThe Carribean Centre was packed with people who were filled with excitement and anticipation for the upcoming summer program. Most of them were talking amongst themselves while Yoona sat on one of the chairs at a corner. She was used to being alone because she doesn’t really know how to socialize that well with people. She’s only comfortable with a few friends and classmates whom she recognized at school.
“Welcome everyone to Carribean Island.”
Everyone paid their immediate attention to the speaker up front by the podium.
“How is everybody feeling today?”
A round of cheering and hollering came from the crowd. “That’s more like it! I’m very pleased to hear that all of you have signed up for this lifeguard training program. I’m sure you’ll have fun participating in challenging activities to do this summer.”
The speaker went on about the program’s overall agenda and explained what the competition was about.
“As you all know that this is also a competition, there will be a winner by the end of this program and it’s the search for the hottest cabi. The winner will receive a special certificate of achievement, an unlimited VIP pass to the island, and will be considered as an official brand endorser of the resort.”
Just by mentioning the title “brand endorser” got everyone talking about how they were going to achieve that. It boosted some of the people’s ego about it too. Yoona doubted she could be a possible winner because of the number of trainees she’s competing with.
Her main goal? It was just getting experience and trying out new things this summer. The speaker instructed the trainees to move on to their assigned dorms.
Yoona pulled her luggage into the dorm and closed the door behind her. She gasped at the room’s interior design, because it didn’t even look like a dorm; it looked like a suite. It’s a shared room, so there were two double beds and two desks and chairs. She felt like she was staying at a hotel for a vacation.
“This is looking great,” she grinned. “Guess it’s time to unpack.”
She was about to go into the bathroom when she heard the door unlock. Quickly placing her toothbrush kit near the sink, she saw a girl bringing her luggage through the door.
“Hey, do you need help?”
The girl smiled but declined her offer to help. “I’m all right. I’m Seo Joohyun, but I go by Seohyun,” she stretched out her hand towards her politely.
Yoona shook the girl’s hand. “I’m Im Yoona, it’s nice to meet you.”
“So is this your first time in Carribean Island?”
“Yes the very first.”
“That’s nice,” Seohyun dragged her bags to her side of the room. “It’s my second time visiting this place. It’s really beautiful, and they mean it when they call it a place of paradise.”
“Oh really? Well then
