if my words fail...

How about the day, I came drunk knocking and singing outside your door at 3 in the morning just to vomit all over your front door when you finally opened it and put you in such a hard time taking care of a whining drunk big baby? I thought you would scold me after, but you did not. Instead, you just made me do your laundry for 3 months and do your house chores for both your apartment and your parents' house. But at least, I get to be pampered after, right?

Wheein stumbled towards Yongsun's apartment, thoroughly intoxicated. The night had taken an unexpected turn, and now she was on Yongsun's doorstep, singing a slurred rendition of her favorite song. She pounded on the door, oblivious to the late hour and the annoyance it might cause.

Yongsun was jolted awake by the racket, her initial annoyance giving way to concern when she saw who was causing the commotion. She opened the door to find Wheein swaying dangerously on her feet, her words a jumbled mess. "Hey, Yongsun, you wouldn't believe...hic...the night I've had," Wheein slurred, her breath heavy with the scent of alcohol.

Yongsun sighed, more concerned than angry. She realized Wheein was in no condition to be left alone like this. "Wheein, come inside," Yongsun said, taking her lover's arm to steady her. "We'll talk about it in the morning when you're feeling..." Wheein suddenly emptied all her night's intoxication at Yongsun front door cutting off Yongsun's speech. "...better."

Wheein's gratitude still shone through her bleary eyes as Yongsun helped her into the apartment. She stumbled into the bathroom, promptly emptying who knows what other contents of her stomach. Yongsun held her hair back and offered comfort.

Once Wheein was somewhat cleaned up, Yongsun led her to the couch. "You're a mess," Yongsun remarked, but there was a hint of a smile on her face. "I'm going to get you some water and aspirin. Try to stay put." Wheein nodded, sitting down and leaning her head against the back of the couch.

She couldn't help but feel a mix of embarrassment and gratitude, at least the remaining straight brain neurons in her. "I thought you'd scold me for sure," she mumbled, her voice shaky. Yongsun returned with the water and aspirin, handing them to Wheein. "Well, I might later, but first things first," she said, sitting down beside her. "Drink up and take these. We'll deal with the scolding later." Wheein obeyed, sipping the water and swallowing the aspirin. She couldn't help but notice how caring and patient Yongsun was being. Maybe, just maybe, her drunken mishap would lead to something more than just a scolding.
