No One’s POV

Soonyoung let out a long and irritated sigh as he ran his hand through his hair while looking down at Jihoon who was sitting down on his chair inside his private studio. The two have been arguing for the past several weeks considering Jihoon kept locking himself away in his studio and Soonyoung’s been worried sick about him, but whenever he asks if there was anything on his mind, the composer would just close himself off and shut his boyfriend out.

“Jihoon-ah, I’m not trying to push you to do anything, let alone tell me anything you don’t want to. I’m just saying that I’m your boyfriend and I’m worried about you. I’m always here for you. You don’t have to act strong and okay around me when you’re clearly stressed and exhausted. We just finished practice and I can tell you’re exhausted so just come back to the dorm with me. I’ll leave you alone all day tomorrow and I won’t bother you while you’re in here so come back with me and grab some sleep.” Soonyoung says, irritation unintentionally seeping into his voice.

“And I’m telling you not to worry about it, I’m fine. Sometimes you worry too much, it’s overbearing.” Jihoon spits back, turning his chair to look away and back to his screen.

“How can I not worry? You always do this! You lock yourself in your studio all day and night! You barely sleep! Do you really think I wouldn’t worry when every time I see you, you look even paler than you did the day before? The only times I see you is during practice and even then you always shut me out and ignore me! How do you think I feel when I’m your boyfriend and all you do is tell me that you’re tired, that you’re stressed and want me to leave you alone, but you go to Jeonghan-hyung and Mingyu to talk to them and go out to spend time with them when I’m standing right here!? It’s like you don’t even want to be in a relationship sometimes, let alone want me!” Soonyoung replies back, his voice raising.

“Well, I’m not telling you to put up with me?! Just leave me alone!” Jihoon replies, voice also raising as he swings his chair back around to stand up and glare at his angry and upset boyfriend.

“I’m not putting up with you though! You’re being ridiculous!” Soonyoung exclaims, looking up slightly for a brief moment in irritation.

“If I’m being so ridiculous, why don’t you just break up with me then?! It’s not like we haven’t broken up before! If I’m being that ridiculous and all I do is make you worry about me, just break up with me!!” Jihoon yells, but as soon as the words leave his mouth he realized his mistake.

“Soonyoung-ah I-” Jihoon started saying, reaching out to grab a hold of the dancer panicking, but Soonyoung moved to shift his body out of reach, before getting cut off by the dancer who had hurt in his eyes, tears pooling.

“Fine. If that’s what you want, let's break up and this time... I’ll leave you alone. Just like you want.” Soonyoung replies, voice dropping before he turns around to grab a hold of his jacket off the couch and make a dash out of the studio leaving Jihoon frozen in his spot, realizing what he just did.

He just pushed Soonyoung over the edge, he just pushed Soonyoung to break up with him… again, he just pushed Soonyoung so far away that he didn’t know what to do. They’ve broken up back during their trainee days and both dated other people, but at the end of the day Jihoon always looked and searched for his sunshine. He wanted no one else, but Soonyoung. No one could fill the hole that Soonyoung left behind. Unsure of what to do and being too scared to tell the dancer his feelings due to thinking that Soonyoung moved on, he wrote the song ‘downpour’ for I.O.I a year or so ago, and poured his heart out into the song like he usually does with anything he writes, but even though he wasn’t sure if Soonyoung heard it or not, not a month later after that song was performed, Soonyoung walked up to him and said everything that Jihoon himself wanted to say for the past 2 years.

The dancer told him that he missed the composer and wanted nothing more, but to get back together. Soonyoung couldn’t imagine a life without Jihoon as his boyfriend and even though he dated people after they broke up, he soon found out that his feelings for his best friend never went away.

Eventually in tears, Jihoon was more than happy to agree and they got back together, but now Jihoon just said the worst possible thing he could’ve said and now he lost the dancer once again. He didn’t want to mindlessly live his life without Soonyoung and continue to live with a hole in his heart.

Once returning back to his senses, Jihoon quickly ran out of his studio to look down the hall to look for the dancer, but he was nowhere to be seen which caused him to curse under his breath, tears pooling in his eyes, already feeling regret over what he just did. He didn’t want Soonyoung to break up with him, he was just stressed and wanted Soonyoung to stop worrying, but when he said what he did, he realized his mistake too late and now his entire world, Kwon Soonyoung was gone, just like before.

Jihoon quickly ran back into his studio to grab a hold of his phone and dialed the dancer’s number, but to his disappointment, it went straight to voicemail. Realizing that Soo
