Insomnia
CheckmateThe first sunlight of the morning touched her face, the forehead and following each contour of her torso, before giving her room a mild brightness. However, she hadn't gotten a wink of sleep ever since arriving home from the hospital. Frightful ideas and horrible fantasies wouldn't leave her mind, no matter how much she tried.
Yoona had never been this scared in her entire life.
Not once, when thought about, had she been able to grasp that her own friend had done such a horrible thing. A person she had believed she could trust had performed kidnapping.
With intentions still unknown to Yoona, he drugged and put her to sleep, after which he took her somewhere. He did the same to her best friend, at the same time. Hidden, the monster could have done all sorts of tortuous performances against them. She didn't know, no one did.
That was the worst fact about the situation: to not know.
He was the sole one who had such knowledge, which led to another problem. Yoona would never be strong enough to face that monster and question about whatever he did to her and Yuri. Her skin crawled just remembering his face. Yet, something inside felt the urge to found out.
She desired. . . no, had to know what happened after she fell asleep. No matter what occurred, nothing could be worse than walking around with a void in the storage of memories. How could she move on if there was no information? Just to know would be more than helpful. Then, perhaps, Yoona would be able to understand the reasons behind his actions, before leaving him and the matter in the past.
"You haven't been able to sleep," a dark voice mumbled from behind.
"No," she whispered.
Footsteps approached her, but Yoona didn't even turn around to look at him. There was no requirements, she figured out who had entered her room. She didn't want him there. Yet, her voice couldn't direct him against the door. Her mind and heart wound up in battle with one another.
In the mean time, he walked up to her, before he stopped and crouched. For the moment, he was a lot shorter than her. But, the mere presence of him frightened her. So much a tear escaped.
Just him alone made Yoona feel designated, like the rest of the world. His stares went right through, as if he understood what she couldn't.
"Tell me," he encouraged, his voice soft.
"Of what?"
He shrugged, "Dreams, thoughts, opinions. You choose."
When Yoona didn't answer, or even face him, for over a minute, a deep sigh came from him.
