Epilogue
My eyes keep darting on the front door as I waiting in living room with Yoona. She looks exceptionally beautiful today in yellow sundress and strappy flat sandals I bought for her two weeks ago. Her smile is strained though. I mean who the hell wouldn’t when you have to wait women in labor.
“It’s okay. Your brother will be here soon.” Even though it’s supposed to be her job to reassure me, our situation is reversed. She looks scared enough that I thought for a moment she would flee out of the house when the contraction hit me five minutes ago. “Call him, Yoong.”
She quickly retrieves her phone and soon her fingers furiously tap the flat screen. I would’ve laugh out loud if my back wasn’t killing me. Darn! Where’s my husband anyway? He has promised me that he would stay with me. I’d slice him into pieces if he dares to break his promise.
“Where are you?!” Yoona half whispers, half shouts at the phone. “Hurry up! I don’t think she can’t hold back any longer!”
Who says I’m holding back the baby? If it’s needed, I would’ve pushed the baby out right here, now in front of Yoona. Son of a !
Yoonaends the call and throws the phone into the table. “Don’t worry. He’ll be here soon.”
I make a mental note to not let Yoona accompanying me in the future when I have to deliver yet another Jung offspring. “It’s alright.” I say even when it’s not alright at all. My water has been broken twenty minutes ago and mentally I prepare myself to give born to my first baby in my own living room. It would be a grand story to be passed to my gra
