What is this? Did you know that AFF is celebrating its 7th year of being up and running? Every year we have thought of ways to commemorate this special date by doing various activities.
With that being said, this year we have decided to make it all about you with these 45 questions, interview with yourself, survey, quiz—whichever you wanted to call it haha.
Why are we doing 45 Questions? Because... it's fun. Don't question.
Our theme for this year is the freesia, when given on the 7th Anniversary it upholds trust and faithfulness within a bond. The freesia is also a symbol of friendship. It was named freesia after Friedrich H. T. Freese by fellow botanist Christian P. Ecklon, as a tribute to their friendship.

1. Why was Asianfanfics created?
Well, it was because Nichi's (AFF creator) friend was frustrated with Winglin and she can not post her fanfic. Nichi had been so kind and made her this site for her to post fanfictions.
2. What is the exact date of AFF's anniversary?
Truthfully, I don't know. I only know it was around April 2009. Haha. Sorry
3. Our admin, Jason, wrote a fanfic: Zero Day Diaries. Which kpop artists are featured in this fic?
I don't even know he posted fanfic before. Haha.. If I have to make wild guesses, probably DBSK or Super Junior.
4. How long have you been on AFF for?
13th May 2010. It will be my 6th anniversary next month!
5. What color was AFF's layout when you joined?
I don't even remember! Green, I guess? But back then, AFF is just a simple website.. probably doesn't have much colour.. I really don't remember. Green has always been AFF colour so I just gonna say 'Green'. Haha.
6. How did you find AFF?
From user Mizanimation. She posted her fanfic 'Vampire Hunter' on Winglin and she noted that she updated faster on a site named AFF. I decided to check it out and quickly made a profile.
7. How did you end up becoming a member? What made you want to become a member?
I was quite happy that I found another site that posted fanfic and also because I wanna read faster update of 'Vampire Hunter' (as said on question 6).

crasykiki and ime_fr. We keep contact through facebook though it not often anymore.

Total 6. 3 on-going fics and 3 one-shot fics. But I also wrote 7 others one-shot for A request shop. (I applied as a writer there)

92. It's not much but I appreciated them all. Besides I only have 3 ongoing fics so I have approximately 30 subs for every fics.. that's enough for me. Hahaha. I also feel sorry for them because I haven't updated for a while.

Now is 6-7/10. But back then was 10/10.

These days, reading fics and friend's blog, ah and also make some fanfics poster from the Graphics Request. Few years ago my main activities are CHATTING and apply in apply fics. I really grateful to this site because for the first time, my character was accepted in apply fics. I never get accepted in Winglin. Haha.
19. How do you spend most of your karma points?
Buying layouts
20. How would you like to spend you karma points? (E.g. Kpop merchandise.)
I do not have many points so anything that cost cheap points will be good. haha.. Merchandise is good too. Layouts is very good idea to spend the karma points. Thumbs up whoever come up with the idea!
21. Have you ever uploaded a video in the video gallery?
Yes. It was mostly music video. But I don't post much though.
22. Have you entered the chatroom? How was it like for you?
Have I ever entered the chatroom? Have I ever? The tagbox, the shoutbox, the chatroom. You named it. I already made myself as a citizen there.
23. What is your favourite feature of AFF?
It used to be the tagbox/chatroom. I can't help but mentioning the past because it was the prime time of AFF and me as well. It build the AFF community. The tagbox even crashed because there was so many user in one time. Present, I guess blogs and layouts are my favourite feature.
24. What is your least favourite feature of AFF? How can it be improved to make it better?
'Discussion'? I was excited when it first came but when I made a thread, there were not many interested in it. LOL. I don't even remember it existance anymore. Also, 'Featured Story'. What I understand that there was an algoritm invented to automatically choose the most upvoted,commented and viewed fanfics. But sometimes the fics were not that good and only popular because of the idols that got popular at that time. Sometimes it was a rip-off from another story. I feel frustrated because good author never get acknowledged.
25. If you could introduce just one feature on AFF, what would it be and why?
Hurm... Layouts, I guess? But the stories in AFF is an important feature too. We have many fanfictions and various idols, actors, oc's and also genres.
26. If you could customize the way AFF appears to you, what color would it be? You could just pick one color or a palette.
Baby blue and baby pink. Haha. But actually, the simpler the better because I don't want this site to keep loading whenever I want to log in. I have slow connection.
27. Who is/are your best friend(s) on AFF?
There are sooooooo many. In no particular order; There's Kikki (crasykiki), Hasna (ime_fr) Tasha (KunoichiHakira), Lee (wait.. i forgot her username. it was SujuLove something... ? Sorry Lee!!) Hunnybunny91 (who I already met in real life! LOL), TwistedMetaloProtein (yes, you are best friend LOL), Poppie! (Kpoptart) Gabzzcha (Her user name is Ssamuraemon). I have many more but most of them are the ones who frequent the chatroom often. You know who you are!
28. Who are the users you want to get to know better?
Hurmmmmm... I haven't met anyone new so there's no new user that I want to know LOL. But I really interested to know old user that have been active(and also inactive) but I haven't talk to them before.
29. Are you grateful/owe something to someone on AFF? Who and why?
Of course. There are too many to list! My friends (Kikki, Hasna, Tasha, Lee, Fishie, Star, Hunny, Twisted, Dazz, Qiqi, Robin, Indi, Gabz, Lani, okay, seriously there too many) of course, they been there whenever I want them. They help me discover my new self. The other side of me that I didn't know existed (the cough*peverted*cough* side of me XD). And also special thanks to staticdream (Alex) because I really like her writing and makes me wanna write like her.
30. Who are your AFF inspirations?
In writing, like I said in question 29, I really admired staticdream's style of writing and without I even notice, I started to write like her (but of course not anywhere near as good as her). I like her stories and she did inspired me to continue writing fanfics without she know about it. I also did not realized about until I re-read my fics. Haha. Graphics wise, I always envy people make good poster and layout. There this user name 'CutterPillow', she always made a beautiful poster and back then I really wanted to be as good as her.
31. If you could put a star on any of your fics/threads, which one would you pick?
The Untold Story maybe.. though it still a long way and I really have to improve myself. It just this story is something that close to my heart.

I really hope she comes back and finish it), It Just Four Letter Word by KunoichiHakira, Frustration and Yume by Soddfornever.. oh there too many fics to list out but mostly of them are not complete yet though most of them posted few years ago. I was really frustrated but then I remembered I also haven't update so, I decide to let it go LOL.

Oh, don't get me start in this! I encountered so many weird events and circumstances made by the user on chatroom.
There this user who made two accounts and said they are two different people. This user said she is a boy and posted a picture of 'him' and it was so obvious that he is a girl who dress up as a boy.
There were also that time when two users were dating each other (they were friends from school or something like that, they did not meet in AFF). They went offline for few months and suddenly the boy came back and PM me on chatango. He said he already broke up with his gf and now he will migrated to another country. He asked me to not mention his name in front of that girl if she came back in AFF. When I asked what happened, he said that girl had an accident in school, she fell from the stairs I think and lost her memory. She did not remember the boy at all. So the boy decide to disappear in front of her. I was so dumbfounded and don't even know I should believe it or not but I just go along with him. Few days later, she did come back and said the same thing. I kept my promised and did not mentioned about him at all. LOL
There was also once a roomate of an user PM'ed me on chatango said that the AFF user tried to hurt himself and was hospitalized. He thought I should know and told the others. Truthfully I have doubt on him but I just do as I was told. As our other friend said, he is our friend and if he said he did, we should believe it. He was released from hospitals after few days. Now he is inactive. I really wish I can find and chat with him again.

38. What was the best thing that has happened to you on the site?
I discover the other side of me and also I made a LOT of good friends. oh yeah, and also I think I improved my English a bit (still a lot work to do) and my writing skills.
39. Have your interests changed on AFF? If yes, in what way? (Eg. Change of OTP, bias group, AFF activity.)
Hurm... I guess. I know a lot of other idols and group because of AFF. I started to like 2PM because of Unglamorous, LOL. I'm addicted to chatting because of AFF.
40. There are many communities now on AFF (such as the writing, designing, coding, applyfic, roleplay, reader communities). Is there a community that you aren't part of but want to try one time?
Coding and role-playing.
41. What is the best thing AFF or being a member of AFF taught you?
Be nice and polite or people will hate you and the admin/mods will banned you. LOL
42. What is your greatest contribution to the site so far?
Errrrrrrr.... I guess I did help few new users about this site. Also I made fanfic's poster for free, not for karma points, upvote or anything. LOL.
43. What are your current AFF goals?
Completed my on-going fics! and also to re-connect with the old users.
44. If the AFF community decides to do a get-together, how should we spend it and where?
Somewhere in the middle of this Earth. LOL. Since most of AFF users and Kpop fans, I guess South Korea might be the best. We can start tour like visiting idols agency like SM, JYP, YG etc... Hahaha

Thank you so much for this wonderful website. I wish I can contributed to make this site better. I am sorry for all the bashing that some users and some parents said about AFF. You nothing have to do with it but you are the one who has to take the blame. I wish you stay healthy and happy always. Please continue to make this site shine and thanks again for all the hard work.
