She was born and raised in French. She lived there until she was 14 years old. When she was 15 years old, she moved to Korea; to her mother’s hometown. There, she started to fell in love in music after saw her mother’s performance by playing piano while singing. She found out that her mother has beautiful ability to play piano and singing on stage. Her parents who knew that Chemmy was fell in love with music, then put her into a music school. In the school, Chemmy’s academic rank increased. She was able to play some music instruments such as piano, guitar, and drum. One day, she accidentally saw a performance of hip-hop dancers in a mini concert. She fell in love and started to dig more information about hip-hop dancing. At first, she learnt it by autodidact. But then, she found a dance club that matched with what she wanted. She joined the club and became a permanent member. Inside the club, she became very famous because of her breakdance and her popping dance ability. From this dance club, she was able to be a back-dancer of Big Bang and 2ne1. One of her friends who found out about Chemmy’s ability then offered her to took an audition in Top Media for their newest girlgroup project. Chemmy agreed and took the audition.
