Broken phone
At Home
He could say that it wasn’t his fault, but he would be lying. He was playing with his cell out of boredom, throwing it and catching it in the air when, as expected, it dropped to the hard, cold floor. He picked it up and bit his lip as he saw the screen didn’t light up. “Huh.”
He pressed the buttons to see if something happened. Nothing. Okay. He should call technical support. But he didn’t have a phone. He decided to go to the nearest high-tech store to see what he should do.
He left a note for Hyukjae on the counter for him to see when he came home.
“Broke my cell phone. Went out to get it fixed.”
He left a little heart at the bottom just because. After almost an hour he was back home, still without his phone. Hyukjae was on the couch, TV was on.
“How do you break a cell phone?” was his first question.
“It just dropped.”
“Yeah, right. You were probably throwing it in the air or something.”
Donghae gasped softly. “How did you know?”
“You use stuff like that as toys."
"I do not."
"Then what about--"
"Okay! I broke the iPad too, I get it. I should be more careful. They don't make them as resistant as before, though!"
Hyukjae laughed, Donghae smiled at him and closed his arms.
"Anyway, did it still work?”
"No… they told me they were gonna fix it so I left it there."
Hyukjae nodded, his boyfriend sat on the couch next to him.
"You should really start being more careful."
Donghae nodded as he watched the TV screen.
