Hyukjae was driving his car along the street. His finger tapped on the steering wheel rhythmically to the beat of the song that was playing from the audio. It was another long tiring day and the red-haired male couldn’t think of any other way to ease the stress that’s been burdened him for the past weeks but getting wasted in some night-clubs. Hectic long schedules, meetings here and there along with those stacks of papers he needed to sign were getting the best of him.

His foot stepped on the brake halting his white Audy as the traffic-light was flashing red. As he was waiting for it to turn green, he saw a veer at the side of the street. Hyukjae knew where it would lead to. A downtown bar. After thinking for quite some times and the red-light didn’t seem to going to change into green any time soon –well, he’s just a bit impatient when worn out– Hyukjae decided to give the bar a visit as he turned the wheel and down the road.

The place didn’t look comfortable at all. If anything, it looked a bit scary and creepy. The smoke filled room and loud bang music were the first things that welcomed him there. He took a seat at the bar and ordered a glass of beer. It’s been a long time since he came to such place and it just felt right doing it again after a while.

Hyukjae was downing his beverage when he heard a commotion from the entrance. Turning to see what it was, his eyes landed on a small frame boy in his late teenage who’s walking in with a tall-well built male –apparently his boyfriend, judging by the way the male’s muscular arm wrapped around his slender waist.

The boy looked stunning. His slim figure was making him looked a bit too feminine for average boys, his brown locks looked so soft and silky, and those bright puppy eyes were just so beautiful on him. Hyukjae couldn’t help but stared at the younger male all the time. Yes, Hyukjae was a gay. He noticed it since he’s in middle school that he was more attracted to same gender than with girls. He might be gay, but his standard for lovers was high. That’s why, up till now, he still stayed single.

Hyukjae’s curious mind was running with so much questions waiting to be answered while his eyes were busy ravishing the younger one. The male was sure he’s still underage but how did he get the permission to enter the pub? That was a one big question to Hyukjae but maybe, he thought, maybe his so-called boyfriend had special access to the bar.

All the way the younger male made his way to the table at the corner with his partner; Hyukjae’s eyes never left him even once. The brunette sat beside his ‘lover’, eyes scanning the room with a look. And after some times, Hyukjae figured out what kind of look that was. The brown-haired male seemed a bit uneasy sitting among those drunken people. He looked afraid.

For a second there, their eyes met as the younger male busy looking at his surrounding and Hyukjae just couldn’t tear his gaze off him. It was just for a really short while, but it’s enough to send tingling feelings down Hyukjae’s spine. His brown orbs were drowning him into them, he could feel the scare the latter was probably feeling and the next thing Hyukjae saw was those eyes softened a bit and the brunette actually looking contented before he turned back his focus on the guy beside him.

“Is he a regular here?”

The bartender looked up and frowned, “I’m sorry, Sir?”

“I’m asking you, is he…,” Hyukjae pointed to the brunette on the corner, eyes never leaving the younger male as he asked, “…a regular here?” Looking at the pointed direction, the bartender smiled softly, “He came here every night for almost a week already. Why, Sir?”

Hyukjae didn’t reply back as he’s too busy checking the said guy out. The bartender chuckled lowly which got him the red-haired male’s attention, “Sir, if you’re interested in him, I highly recommend you not to.”

The latter looked at him, raising his brow.

“You see the one who’s with him?” The bartender began slowly, “He’s a big jerk for all I know. He doesn’t do relationship. All he wants is a good , and unfortunately for that boy, he might be his target now. And until he gets what he wants, he won’t let his prey fall to others hand.” The bartender guy leaned in a bit as he whispered he last part, “No one mess with him.”

Nodding slightly as the words sunk in his head, Hyukjae muttered a soft ‘thanks’ to the guy behind the counter who only smiled back at him.

So, he’s dating a jerk, huh? Does he even know that?

Hyukjae shrugged. Who’s he anyways to in people’s relationship? He’s not a typical person like that to begin with. He sighed. Even so, he still couldn’t help but staring longingly at the younger male. He’s just too beautiful.
