Each and every single person in this world has unspoken secrets locked in the back of their minds, hiding on the tips of their tongues. Some of these secrets are trivial and irrelevent, almost silly to be keeping. Maybe it's about how you accidentally dented your mom's car, or maybe it's meaningless he said, she said gossip that you promised your best friend they would keep but can hardly resist not passing along the grapevine. However, other secrets... Other secrets can be deadly. Six people find their lives intertwined and locked together in ways they never expected to be possible. Amber Josephine Liu

- Somewhat envies the relationships her bandmates have, and wishes she could have one
- Is rather clumsy off stage and has the tendancy to injure herself and be dragged to the hospital by the f(x) members
- Has a positive perspective in life, but trusts very few people
- Was born and raised in California, but moved to Korea and didn't look back after auditioning to S.M. Entertainment
- Has been best friends with Kris and Jonghyun since she came to Korea and feels they will be friends for life
Minhye (Min) Lee
- 19 years old
- Straight
- Considers herself damaged goods due to the series of bad relationships she's been in
- Is currently in the midst of finishing her fourth consecutive year as a S.M. Entertainment trainee, and is primarily working as a backup dancer while waiting to debut
- Was born in New York, but came to Korea to become an idol
- Despite being the younger twin is insanely overprotective of Jinny
- Is the more wild twin, spending her free time in clubs and drinking a bit too much
Wu Yi Fan (Kris)
- 21 years old
- Very straight, but did have an incident with Jonghyun when they were drunk a few years ago
- Doesn't have the best track record with relationships, and is the first to admit it
- Knows "the one" for him is out there and that he just has to keep looking for her
- Is currently in the midst of promotions with EXO and is an incredibly uptight leader
- Was born in China, and raised in Canada until coming to Korea after auditioning for S.M. Entertainment
- Considers Amber and Jonghyun to be his closest confidants
Jessica Jung
- 24 years old
- Straight
- Currently in a relationship with Ok Taecyeon and has been for the past two and a half years
- Loves her boyfriend, but isn't quite sure if he's the right person for her considering his track record
- Is currently promoting with Girls' Generation
- Tends to be bit of a wallflower, watching and noting everything around her
- Is closest with her sister Krystal thus making her see Amber, Jonghyun, and Kris quite often
Kim Jonghyun
- 23 years old
- Biual and quite proud of it
- Fools around with both boys and girls, but his heart has belonged to the same person for years
- Is currently promoting with SHINee and is enjoying himself every step of the way
- Has an incredibly optimistic personality
- Loves Amber and Kris more than life itself and would die for them

Author's Note
Hello, friends! My name is pumpkincupcakes and this is my first story on asianfanfics! I 'm making my entrance on AFF with this massive monster of a story, and I'm incredibly ecstatic to write it. It's going to be dramatic and angsty, but will definitely be filled with romance and lighthearted moments. I can promise it will have a good enough balance of the both, so I'm really hoping everyone enjoys it. Here's a few things you need to know before starting CYKAS:
1. There are six main characters and you will be seeing all of their points of view at some point in the story. It may or may not be in the beginning, but everyone will have a chance to let their thoughts and personalities be known. Every character is going to get an equal amount of focus and story line, I will make sure of it.
2. The story is going to be divided into four arcs: Amber and Jinny, Kris and Min, Jonghyun and Jessica, and Omnes. Each couple has their own arc that will last a good 20-30+ chapters, and by the time the story is ending all three main arcs will intertwine and come together to form the final arc that will bring it all together and conclude it. Like I said, it's going to be a long story.
3. The tracklist is what I'm listening to as I write and will probably be changed periodically, so you can listen to it if you'd like in order to set the mood.
4. I'm a freshman in college so my updates will be mostly Friday-Mondays. I have a decent workload and will probably focus my updates on the weekends, but I promise they will be regular!

Amber + Kris + Jonghyun
The bright midday sunlight shone into the windows of Amber Josephine Liu's beloved red sports car as she cruised through Seoul traffic. Her dark caramel eyes scrutinized the traffic ahead of her while using one hand to respond to the series of urgent yet vague text messages one Wu Yi Fan otherwise known as Kris was blowing her phone up with. She groaned and stared at the seemingly endless afternoon traffic, wondering what the big emergency was this time. She had already abandoned shopping with Krystal in order to rush over to the EXO dorm where Kris and Jonghyun were awaiting her. Abandoning shopping with Krystal was also probably one of the hugest no-nos to do considering the f(x) maknae was used to getting everything she wanted. Amber shook her head at the thoughts of the younger girl glowering at her through the window of the dorm as she drove away. But what could she say? This wasn't the first time Amber had dropped everything and drove like crazy to get to Kris and Jonghyun.
The two older males had become two of the most important people in her life, coming in right next to her parents and the other members of f(x). Amber could still remember arriving in Korea and feeling so alone that it became almost unbearable at times. With her tomboyish clothes and her lack of knowledge on Korea and Korean language, Amber wasn't the first person fellow trainees had the desire to befriend. Not to say that she was a victim of bullying because that wasn't the case at all. Amber simply didn't make friends in the first couple of months she resided in Korea; she put her work in with training and then spent hours wandering around the trainee dorms until she was too tired to wander anymore. Of course, that aimless wandering didn't last for long.
"Why are you standing on a rooftop? Are you going to kill yourself?" Kim Jonghyun's extremely concerned prebupescent voice echoed in the forgotten depths of Amber's mind. His black hair whipped about in the wind as he glanced around the rooftop, unconciously extending his hand to the girl who stood at the edge of the rooftop, half a big toe dangling off of it. His much taller companion leaned against the doorway and took in the sight of the bustling city below the three of them with a somewhat unimpressed expression, crossing his arms and instead gazing at Amber and Jonghyun's exchange.
"Are you here to kill yourself?" Amber responded to Jonghyun's question with another question in a slightly irritated voice, raising an eyebrow in annoyance.
"W-Well no.." Jonghyun chuckled weakly and scratched his head, smiling when Amber accepted his hand and came from the ledge of the building and onto what he considered to be the more safe area of the roof. "We're here to watch the sunset." He said awkwardly leaning back on his heels as if it would make him appear taller. It was a peculiar habit that he had acquired after becoming friends with Kris, or so Kris told Amber years later.
"Do we talk?" Amber looked up at the tall male behind Jonghyun before back at Jonghyun. "He isn't the best in Korean at the moment so I speak for him." Jonghyun puffed his chest out almost proudly at the fact he was the one taking care of the much taller male. "He's Yifan, I'm Jonghyun." Jonghyun offered up.
"Amber." Amber returned, unceremoniously plopping down on the roof and looking up at the sky. It was painted with bright colors; reds and oranges and vibrant yellows that would be forever etched into Amber's memory each time she looked back on this day. "Amber? Wait.. You're a girl?" Jonghyun didn't mean to look so surprised, but from behind-- and the clothes-- His expression was definitely equivelent to one of a person who wanted to dig themselves in a hole and die. And that was exactly how he felt.
"Surprised?" Amber looked at him with a chuckle, accidentally slipping into English (another bad habit she, herself had back in those days) before repeating it in Korean.
"Not particularly." Yifan spoke up for the first time, also in English, causing both parties to whirl around and stare at him with almost matching open mouthed expressions of shock causing the tall male to laugh harder than he had in his life.
From that day, the rest was history. The following afternoon after training, Amber found a lost puppy and his sidekick waiting on the doorstep of her dorm. She didn't ever find out how Jonghyun found what dorm she lived in; it was one of those times Kris reminded her simply how resourceful Jonghyun was - Amber figured he followed her home, though.
Kris was a lot like Amber, she soon learned. He was Chinese, but had grown up in a different country; he was learning a brand new language in the midst of training and excelling at it. He only mantained the "can't speak Korean" act for the sake of Jonghyun who seemed to love taking care of him so much. Kris tutored Amber until she successfully mastered the language, but learning languages wasn't all Kris was good for. He was good for making microwave dinners and giving insightful advice on relationships (but never following it himself) and spitting beats for hours. He made sure to tuck Amber in at night, and if he was in a good mood he even read her old American fairy tales until she fell asleep. He was like the big brother she had always dreamt of having.
Jonghyun was a totally different case. He had grown up in Korea, but had spent his life fighting to attain his dream. He loved nurturing and taking care of others in his own teasing sort of way. He was a notorious cuddler who always started impromptu group hugs no matter how much Kris cringed and attempted to end them. He made time for three way phone calls with Amber and Kris even after he debuted in SHINee. He had a bright and optimistic view on life, and was never one to show his pain. It was a sin for someone as brigt and shining as Jonghyun to not be smiling. The rare times Jonghyun did allow himself to break, it was up to Amber and Kris to carefully craft him back together.
But that was okay because it was the three of them together.
It would always be the three of them together.
Amber couldn't imagine what life would be like if she had taken the jump that day.
