Two MoonsWhat surprised Siyeon the most was that Matsuda's and Nezumi's dorm was just as big as Sehun's. Such a big dorm for two people was... a waste of space but then again who knew with whom the two were roomed with. The door was already opened and Siyeon only had to push the handle but she knocked anyways to notify Matsuda that she was there.
Her head still spun a bit because of Baekhyun's explanations but she had have enough time to think about them during her walk to the dorm.
A lot of things had changed, which was good but it also meant that the single Mageíya became more and more autonomous. With that came a huge problem though. If the society wouldn't change along with the fast change of the individuals, it would come a fight. At the moment, the mageíyan society was more like boiling pot. It was only a matter of time until the pot would over-boil.
Either the society would start to change along or it meant war and that war wouldn't happen unnoticed. Siyeon could imagine quite well how the humans would react to the revelation that they weren't the only advanced race on earth and their reaction would be very different from Siyeon's. Not everyone would be as accepting and understanding towards the Mageíya and considering how some politicians were, it wouldn't only mean war among Mageíyas but also a war between humans and Mageíyas.
It was a difficult situation and Siyeon knew that if a war would break loose, it would take its time until both sides would start to accept each other.
The humans would fear the Magéiya like they feared them hundred and hundred years ago and the Mageíya on the other hand would look down on the humans and would see in them nothing than nuisances.
Discrimination, mistrust, prejudices and hate would dominate those times mostly – what a frightening thought.
“Siyeon? Did you hear me? Come in.”
Startled, Siyeon nearly jumped back at Nezumi's question but she restrained herself and gave him an askew smile. “Ah, sorry, I spaced out.”
A chuckle came over his lips while he stepped back.
The dorm basically had the same structure as the dorm Sehun and the others lived in and the only difference was how they had furnished it. There was less gold in Matsuda's dorm and more silver but they had the same huge chimney, which made Siyeon smile immediately.
“Matsuda's just under the shower. He should be there in a minute.” Just as Nezumi wanted to turn around, Siyeon noticed the golden pin on his shirt.
She remembered her conversation with Iori and that she had wondered why they had those strange golden and silver pins. Since she hasn't seen them until now again, Siyeon nearly had forgot about them.
“Nezumi, wait.”
Surprised, Nezumi turned around again and raised his brow. “These pins? Do they have any special meaning? I know that there are silver and golden pins but I never asked about them.”
Nezumi looked down on his pin and he started to break out in loud laughter. “Oh, you mean these? Actually they don't have a special meaning. The first headmaster had established them for those student who achieved special accomplishments or managed to win against a teacher. Now the teachers hand them over to those students who had managed to win a certain amount of fights, so you barely see any first years running around with them. To be honest, I find them a bit tacky and old-fashioned but I guess it's tradition to wear them.”
He shrugged his shoulders as Matsuda came down the stairs. His hair still was wet but it made him look even more handsome, if that was even possible. “Sorry, I didn't think that you would come this early,” he excused but Siyeon waved it off. “Don't worry, I have to say sorry then if I am too early.”
Nezumi secretly rolled his eyes and gave Ma
